- The document discusses vibration analysis and thermography conducted at Michelin's tire manufacturing facility in Granton, NS.
- Safety training was provided, and then equipment such as motors, pumps, and gearboxes were analyzed using vibration analysis tools and infrared thermography to identify any faults.
- Specific vibration data was collected using sensors and analyzed using software, which helped identify issues like looseness, bearing faults, and unbalanced parts. Thermography identified any equipment running hotter than normal ranges.
CDTire: State-of-the-Art Tire Models For Full Vehicle SimulationAltair
Tire modeling is critical for full vehicle simulations because all road excitations pass through the tires to the vehicle. The accurate representation of roads and tires and their interactions is one of the central challenges in full vehicle simulation.
CDTire is a family of sophisticated tire models capable of accurately representing the dynamic behavior of tires and the road-tire interaction.
This presentation gives an overview of tire modeling methods developed at Fraunhofer and made available through CDTire. The presentation covers three topics:
(a) Tire and road models that are commercially available today and where they can be used
(b) New developments in tire and road modeling technology
(c) Fraunhofer’s special relationship with Altair to make this technology available to you and how CDTire works with MotionSolve

A presentation from the webinar Advancements in Phased Array Scan Planning.
Scan planning is an integral, yet somewhat neglected step in the everyday Phased Array (PA) inspection process. Success in proper scan planning leads to reliable results, higher productivity, and ensures repeatability but can often be difficult due to the varying nature of the PA technique and its application.
In this presentation, learn advanced scan planning concepts, implementation of different PA inspections, and achieve a better overall understanding of the benefits and limitations of Phased Array.

A gas turbine is a combustion engine at the heart of a power plant that can convert natural gas or other liquid fuels to mechanical energy. This energy then drives a generator that produces the electrical energy that moves along power lines to homes and businesses.
Presentation on Condition Based Monitoring for gas turbine engines is discussed briefly.
