Products include, Man-portable electronic counter measure systems, vehicle-borne electronic counter
measure systems, satellite monitoring, direction finding, signal interception, high grade network encryption.
Test Engineer.
Initially recruited as a contract test engineer. Becoming a permanent employee in November 2007 as a test
technician. Rapidly promoted to test engineer in 2008, testing product to current released test
specifications, reporting to the Manufacturing Production Manager and cell Team Leaders.
 Duties include testing of populated PCB’s (Printed Circuit Boards), fault finding to component level,
testing of modular systems with RF capabilities.
 Working in conjunction with the Development Engineering Department, to review test specifications,
testing prototype and new product.
 Developed good working relationship with other internal customers including the Manufacturing Test
Development department, the Quality department and Production Engineering.
 Provide product training to new and current members of staff including apprentices.
 Established the test equipment library, this led to an efficient way of controlling and distributing the
test equipment, including hire equipment.
 Knowledge of Kanban, Lean Manufacturing and 5S techniques.
 Current security clearance until 2018.
ADC Communications Ltd 2001 – April 2007
Formerly: KRONE (UK) Technique Ltd, Cheltenham an ADCKRONE Inc subsidiary
Products include, cable and hardware for the production of Cat 5e, Cat 6 and Augmented Cat 6
Networking systems. These are produced and tested to the following Standards; ANSI EIA/TIA 568,
ISO/IEC 11801, BS EN 50173-1:2002, BS EN 50174 and BS6701.
Test Engineer.
Recruited to this position, to help to establish a professional quality control laboratory with clear
guidelines and procedures, reporting to the Development Director; supervising 3 technicians; £100k
equipment/maintenance budget.
 Developed good working relationship with internal customers (R&D; Sales; Marketing and
Production) establishing clear guidelines for prioritisation of work.
 Duties included H.F. testing of prototype product, release testing of new product, competitor testing,
investigating and problem solving faults with product and investigating customer complaints.
 Initiated a review with IT and external consultants that led to improved networking and data capture
increasing throughput and efficiency.
 Maintained sophisticated test equipment (value ~ £500k) including network analysers, photographic,
environmental and mechanical bump and vibration rigs with 24/7 operation as required.

 Kept abreast of latest developments making business case for acquisition e.g. £50k 4-port network
analyser and 16-port switch.
 Part of global lab team standardising procedures e.g. networking cable procurement.
 Responsible for third party verification for Delta in Denmark.

ARG Electrodesign Ltd, Cirencester 1989 - 2001
Products include testers (PCM Data), multiplexer/de-multiplexer systems for the Telecommunications
industry, Network adapters for digital video broadcast and Microwave frequency transponders, satellite
radio beacons and various testers for the maritime search and rescue industry.
Test Engineer 1997 - 2001
Promoted to take a wider responsibility for the test department, which involved the planning and
scheduling of workloads in liaison with the Operations Manager and Production Supervisor.
 Organised calibration of plant equipment, both in house and sending equipment to external
calibration houses; ensuring all records were maintained and traceable to BS EN ISO9001.
 Liaised with the Development Department to test prototype products and produce test specifications
for new products.
 Responsible for induction training for new Test Department staff along with product training.
 Testing of products, implementing specifications and procedures as mentioned below.
Test Technician 1992 - 1997
 Duties included testing of the manufactured printed circuit boards and finished products, fault finding
and repairing to component level including testing and repairing customer returns.
 Wrote specifications and test procedures for a range of products.
Assembly Operator 1989 - 1992
Joined as mechanical assembly operator and rapidly promoted to above role.
DC Hannam Ltd, Electro Systems, Brimscombe 1985 - 1989
Main products were small wiring harnesses and looms for motor industry and large prototype harnesses.

Responsible for the day to day running of the production floor in liaison with the foreman. Running of
wire cut and strip machines, maintenance of crimp terminal power press. Produce prototype-wiring
harnesses for the automotive industry, run rubber injection moulding machines.
