2. Who was Nostradamus?
 In the early 16th century, Michel de Nostredame
was born in the south of France. As a child he
was brilliant for mathematics and astrology but
he decided study medicine and began to help
victims of the plague using his new medical
ideas, throughout France and Italy.
It’s believed he had a psychic awakening. He
began to practice the occult and make
predictions of the future, which he published
in The Prophecies.

3.  While he was in Italy, Nostradamus met a monk. He
immediately went down on his knees, and called the
monk « Your Holiness». About 45 years later the monk
became Pope Sixtus V.
 Nostradamus realized that he had
extraordinary powers of prophecy
and he started writing down his
predictions in the form of four-line
poems.

4. But how did Nostradamus predict
the future?
 He worked with books of the
occult and studied the stars
using his knowledge of
astrology. Also he used an
ancient method of predicting
the future called scrying.

5. One of his famous prophecies:
Century 1. Quatrain 60
An Emperor will be born near Italy,
who will cost the Empire very dearly.
They will say, when they see his allies,
that he is less a prince than a butcher.

6. Many people today believe his predictions have come true
or will in the future, however, I think according to the way
that was wrote, his predictions can be interpreted to fit
almost any event.
