A needs assessment was conducted to design a web-based training (WBT) program to teach new fathers how to care for babies while allowing time for other activities like watching sports. The target learner is identified as having a short attention span, little patience, and a preference for step-by-step instructions. The training program includes three lesson plans on feeding, sleeping, and diaper changing babies, as well as job aids and assessments to measure learning. The conclusion recognizes that careful instructional design is needed to develop effective WBT programs.
