Melanie
is
a
water
utility
consultant,
AWWA
author,
speaker,
specialized
in
helping
municipalities,
utilities,
governments,
and
their
stakeholders
effectively
convey
the
value
of
water
to
the
public.
With
over
three
decades
of
public
communications
experience,
she
has
been
a
driving
force
behind
defining
and
implementing
effective
long-‐term
communication
plans,
public
education,
implementing
rate
changes,
gaining
voter
support,
and
conducting
outreach
campaigns
throughout
North
America.
Currently
her
list
of
clients
includes
water
utilities,
watersheds,
stormwater
councils,
water
authorities,
and
wastewater
utilities.
While
she
is
a
person
water
utilities
will
call
in
time
of
a
media
crisis,
community
uprising,
or
when
the
public
needs
to
be
notified
about
water
contamination,
she
is
dedicated
to
proactive
public
relations.
