This study aimed to develop English supplementary materials to meet the needs of nursing students on English learning through Instructional Conversation (IC) method. This research was categorized into research and development. The materials were validated by two experts to come to the final product. This research conducted at the Nursing Study Program involving students of the second semester. The data collected from classroom and checklist observation, questionnaire, an interview. Considering the data collected, the English textbooks available and used in the Nursing Study Program contains English language learning materials that are still common and less specific for students used in the nursing study program. Therefore, English supplementary materials through Instructional Conversation (IC) method should be developed by considering the needs of lecturers and students. English supplementary materials through the Instructional Conversation method were developed by considering several aspects.
There are two types of English teachers in a higher education, English teachers who have English Language Teaching (ELT) background and those who do not have it. It brings about some problems in the teaching instruction and the achievement of the students, as well. This is a theoretical view used as a preliminary study to develop the model to improve English teachers’ competences in a higher education. A modular model proposed by Kumaravadivelu, with his KARDS model seems appropriate to be applied for the English teachers who are assigned to teach higher education students. This model is at first intended for the prospective teachers of L2 (TESOL), but with some modifications, it can be used to improve the competences of in-service English teachers.
Many students find it hard to acquire and convey messages due to the lack of mastery in vocabulary. Since vocabulary plays a major role as the basic requirement to learning a language, its mastery became vital in learning English. On the other hand, lack of vocabulary impedes students’ understanding in reading comprehension texts especially in second language classrooms. Therefore, this study was conducted in order to obtain information regarding the effectiveness of using flip book in increasing Year 3 pupils’ mastery of vocabulary in English. This study investigated the use of flip book approach in helping the students to improve vocabulary through fun and meaningful learning. 15 participants were involved in the action research who were selected from a suburban school in Malaysia. Survey, written documents and field notes were used as the medium of data collection. The results showed significant positive changes in the performance of the students from time to time. Flip book approach was found to help the weak students who faced problems in understanding the meaning of the vocabulary taught in the classrooms. This study suggests that students need to enhance the mastery of the vocabulary in order to have a good grasp of the language including the four skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing.

more consideration in terms of appropriate methodological choice in order to facilitate the learning process of
foreign language learners. Interactive Whiteboard (IWB), which is now associated with the teaching and
learning process in Saudi Arabia, and especially in the EFL classrooms provided motivation for conducting the
experimental investigation concerning the effects of Interactive Whiteboard (IWB) on Preparatory Year EFL
learners’ vocabulary achievement. The study involved two intact groups from the Preparatory Year EFL learners
at a Saudi university and were labelled as Treatment and Control groups respectively. The Treatment group was
given intervention for seven weeks through the Interactive Whiteboard (IWB) while the control group with the
traditional whiteboard. 40 items MCQs type vocabulary achievement test was conducted at the beginning as pretest

The Effect of Vocabulary Knowledge on EFL Oral Competenceiosrjce
: Oral production in a foreign language is a very challenging task that requires certain linguistic skills
as well as strategic competence. Vocabulary knowledge proves to play a crucial role in interactional situations.
However, few studies have investigated how both EFL teachers and learners view and analyze situations in
which learners are not producing enough spoken language in class, and the reasons behind them. The present
study will pinpoint the significant role of lexis in Moroccan learners speaking production. To this end, forty
EFL teachers and two hundred Moroccan high school students are surveyed and interviewed to reveal their
perceptions of the speaking skill and the corresponding high significance of lexis in this instance. Results show
that both teachers and learners identify vocabulary deficiency as the main factor behind students’ inability to
speak English. In the present article, among the many suggestions that could be proposed to deal with this
situation, it is argued that one efficient way would be to assist the students during the process of L2 vocabulary
learning through vocabulary learning strategy instruction. Pedagogical and research implication will be given
in response to the difficulties encountered in this area as have been identified by the EFL teachers and learners
surveyed.
In the era of globalization, people around the world can have interaction for satisfying their goal in any aspect of life, such as business, politics, social and culture, education, etc. for that reason, the need of English proficiency as a global language becomes a priority. Therefore, it is compulsory for all students in formal education to learn it. In university level, students of the non-English department must study English with varied purposes, depending on their major, at least for two credits. Generally, it is taught to support the basic major or discipline. Consequently, the materials are designed based on their needs, especially later when they get jobs. For this reason, the material adapted is called ESP (English for Specific Purposes) which aims at preparing students to meet the demands of the workplace, i.e. the English skills. It should be more contextual, real life for now and the future. If the material is authentic and in accordance with the needs of learners, they will likely be ready to work as the demands of the employer. With these objectives, the English materials need to be adjusted to the needs of users (stakeholders) so that after graduating from universities, freshmen can directly work or create jobs according to their expertise. This research aims to describe students’ perception of English teaching materials for Management department. A survey was conducted to second-semester students of Management department of Universitas Muria Kudus. The result of the study reveals that the students have a positive perspective on the teaching materials of English for Management Business II. They think affirmatively that the materials have been selected properly in terms of material attraction, usefulness, authenticity, variety, level of difficulty, language skill proportion and the discussed topics. In other words, the materials are appropriate for satisfying Management department students’ need to prepare their future. The implication is the materials should be revised by adding more reading texts of Business English and providing more vocabulary tasks in the real context.
Teaching and learning vocabulary is an integral part of foreign language learning since it is the basic sub-skill for someone who wants to learn a foreign language. Thus, it is essential to teach English vocabulary at an early age since students still in the scope of their golden age, and they could learn everything easily. In this case, the teachers' teaching strategy seems essential to be concerned. Moreover, this descriptive qualitative study as a case study is designed to explore the Qur'an Learning Center teachers' perspective on the strategy used to teach vocabulary to young learners. The data were gathered through a semi-structured interview with two English Teachers at the Qur'an Learning Center, one of the elementary schools in Jakarta Selatan. The result of this study revealed that teachers believe that teaching strategy is essential for teaching vocabulary to young learners. Thus, the teachers have various strategies that can be applied for teaching vocabulary to young learners, for example, using games, sing a song, and others. Also, the teachers used interesting media like video, a real thing, pictures, and others. Those strategies are effective in engaging students to learn new vocabulary in English. This study is expected to give reference and knowledge for the English teacher who teaches young learners so they could implement some suitable ways with their real class.

Lesson Plan
Unit Title: Introduction to Reading and Writing
Lesson (grade) Level: Grade 3
Subject Area: English
Lesson Title: Reading and Pronunciation
Demographics of the Classroom
The classroom environment for which this lesson plan is designed is culturally diverse. The class is comprised of whites, blacks, Hispanics, Asian Americans, and Native Americans. These groups of students total to 50. Out of this number, white students lead in population by 25, followed closely by Hispanics (15), Blacks (5), and Asian Americans (7). Native Americans are the least represented in the class, since they are only 3 students. The classroom is also comprised of 27 males and 23 females from different races and ethnicities. In this classroom environment, only whites and black students are native English speakers. The rest speak English as their second language. Therefore, they need more special attention in order to improve their English writing and reading proficiency. Although two people are persons with disability, their level of disability does not affect their language proficiency. This is particularly true because one student does not have the left ear lobe, while his colleague is crippled. Therefore, all their disability does not affect their five common senses and their ability to read and write.
Like other American classroom environments, the target class is a culturally diverse one. Therefore, the learners’ cultural backgrounds and family ties greatly influence the manner in which they learn. Americans continually live in the future, and this pattern expresses how students are motivated. On the other hand, many immigrants have a better connection with the past, a practice that can significantly motivate some to improve their intellectual competence. In Asian and Hispanic cultural contexts, the teacher is revered as an authority figure. To express respect, the students often look at the floor. For American learning environment, individualism and teacher-student relationships are promoted by the teachers ensuring that they are looked in the eye or for students to disagree with them. Culture plays a critical role in explaining why students act or speak in certain ways. With such knowledge in mind, teachers should understand that in case they are in diverse learning environments, they are taking part of various cultures. When the teacher is not familiar with different cultural and ethnic backgrounds and how they have been socialized, the instructor may begin to question their behaviors. Therefore, understanding each of the learners’ cultural backgrounds is a necessary step in ensuring that the lesson plan is designed in a manner that meets the learning needs of all students.

The Impact of Digital Media on the Decentralization of Power and the Erosion ...ijtsrd
The impact of digital media on the distribution of power and the weakening of traditional gatekeepers has gained considerable attention in recent years. The adoption of digital technologies and the internet has resulted in declining influence and power for traditional gatekeepers such as publishing houses and news organizations. Simultaneously, digital media has facilitated the emergence of new voices and players in the media industry. Digital medias impact on power decentralization and gatekeeper erosion is visible in several ways. One significant aspect is the democratization of information, which enables anyone with an internet connection to publish and share content globally, leading to citizen journalism and bypassing traditional gatekeepers. Another aspect is the disruption of conventional media industry business models, as traditional organizations struggle to adjust to the decrease in advertising revenue and the rise of digital platforms. Alternative business models, such as subscription models and crowdfunding, have become more prevalent, leading to the emergence of new players. Overall, the impact of digital media on the distribution of power and the weakening of traditional gatekeepers has brought about significant changes in the media landscape and the way information is shared. Further research is required to fully comprehend the implications of these changes and their impact on society. Design Simulation and Hardware Construction of an Arduino Microcontroller Bas...ijtsrd
This study primarily focuses on the design of a high side buck converter using an Arduino microcontroller. The converter is specifically intended for use in DC DC applications, particularly in standalone solar PV systems where the PV output voltage exceeds the load or battery voltage. To evaluate the performance of the converter, simulation experiments are conducted using Proteus Software. These simulations provide insights into the input and output voltages, currents, powers, and efficiency under different state of charge SoC conditions of a 12V,70Ah rechargeable lead acid battery. Additionally, the hardware design of the converter is implemented, and practical data is collected through operation, monitoring, and recording. By comparing the simulation results with the practical results, the efficiency and performance of the designed converter are assessed. The findings indicate that while the buck converter is suitable for practical use in standalone PV systems, its efficiency is compromised due to a lower output current. Sustainable Energy by Paul A. Adekunte | Matthew N. O. Sadiku | Janet O. Sadikuijtsrd
Energy becomes sustainable if it meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Some of the definitions of sustainable energy include the considerations of environmental aspects such as greenhouse gas emissions, social, and economic aspects such as energy poverty. Generally far more sustainable than fossil fuel are renewable energy sources such as wind, hydroelectric power, solar, and geothermal energy sources. Worthy of note is that some renewable energy projects, like the clearing of forests to produce biofuels, can cause severe environmental damage. The sustainability of nuclear power which is a low carbon source is highly debated because of concerns about radioactive waste, nuclear proliferation, and accidents. The switching from coal to natural gas has environmental benefits, including a lower climate impact, but could lead to delay in switching to more sustainable options. “Carbon capture and storage” can be built into power plants to remove the carbon dioxide CO2 emissions, but this technology is expensive and has rarely been implemented. Leading non renewable energy sources around the world is fossil fuels, coal, petroleum, and natural gas. Nuclear energy is usually considered another non renewable energy source, although nuclear energy itself is a renewable energy source, but the material used in nuclear power plants is not. The paper addresses the issue of sustainable energy, its attendant benefits to the future generation, and humanity in general. Paul A. Adekunte | Matthew N. O. Sadiku | Janet O. Concepts for Sudan Survey Act Implementations Executive Regulations and Stand...ijtsrd
This paper aims to outline the executive regulations, survey standards, and specifications required for the implementation of the Sudan Survey Act, and for regulating and organizing all surveying work activities in Sudan. The act has been discussed for more than 5 years. The Land Survey Act was initiated by the Sudan Survey Authority and all official legislations were headed by the Sudan Ministry of Justice till it was issued in 2022. The paper presents conceptual guidelines to be used for the Survey Act implementation and to regulate the survey work practice, standardizing the field surveys, processing, quality control, procedures, and the processes related to survey work carried out by the stakeholders and relevant authorities in Sudan. The conceptual guidelines are meant to improve the quality and harmonization of geospatial data and to aid decision making processes as well as geospatial information systems. The established comprehensive executive regulations will govern and regulate the implementation of the Sudan Survey Geomatics Act in all surveying and mapping practices undertaken by the Sudan Survey Authority SSA and state local survey departments for public or private sector organizations. The targeted standards and specifications include the reference frame, projection, coordinate systems, and the guidelines and specifications that must be followed in the field of survey work, processes, and mapping products. In the last few decades, there has been a growing awareness of the importance of geomatics activities and measurements on the Earths surface in space and time, together with observing and mapping the changes. In such cases, data must be captured promptly, standardized, and obtained with more accuracy and specified in much detail. The paper will also highlight the current situation in Sudan, the degree to which survey standards are used, the problems encountered, and the errors that arise from not using the standards and survey specifications. Towards the Implementation of the Sudan Interpolated Geoid Model Khartoum Sta...ijtsrd
The discussions between ellipsoid and geoid have invoked many researchers during the recent decades, especially during the GNSS technology era, which had witnessed a great deal of development but still geoid undulation requires more investigations. To figure out a solution for Sudans local geoid, this research has tried to intake the possibility of determining the geoid model by following two approaches, gravimetric and geometrical geoid model determination, by making use of GNSS leveling benchmarks at Khartoum state. The Benchmarks are well distributed in the study area, in which, the horizontal coordinates and the height above the ellipsoid have been observed by GNSS while orthometric heights were carried out using precise leveling. The Global Geopotential Model GGM represented in EGM2008 has been exploited to figure out the geoid undulation at the benchmarks in the study area. This is followed by a fitting process, that has been done to suit the geoid undulation data which has been computed using GNSS leveling data and geoid undulation inspired by the EGM2008. Two geoid surfaces were created after the fitting process to ensure that they are identical and both of them could be counted for getting the same geoid undulation with an acceptable accuracy. In this respect, statistical operation played an important role in ensuring the consistency and integrity of the model by applying cross validation techniques splitting the data into training and testing datasets for building the geoid model and testing its eligibility. The geometrical solution for geoid undulation computation has been utilized by applying straightforward equations that facilitate the calculation of the geoid undulation directly through applying statistical techniques for the GNSS leveling data of the study area to get the common equation parameters values that could be utilized to calculate geoid undulation of any position in the study area within the claimed accuracy. Both systems were checked and proved eligible to be used within the study area with acceptable accuracy which may contribute to solving the geoid undulation problem in the Khartoum area, and be further generalized to determine the geoid model over the entire country, and this could be considered in the future, for regional and continental geoid model. We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. language has long been a privilege in higher
education and is seen as an education for those who
enjoy privileges in public schools.
Today, foreign language skills are becoming an
integral part of vocational education. Specialists in
various fields have a high level of cooperation with
foreign partners, so they have a high demand for
language learning. In modern society, foreign
languages are becoming an important part of
vocational education. Such knowledge is first
acquired by people in schools, colleges, high schools,
and later in institutes, training courses, or by
familiarizing themselves with basic information sets
that help them learn a foreign language
independently. Today, there is a large collection of
teaching materials for people with different levels of
language skills. Success in achieving this goal
depends on the practical methods and skills of
teachers. The ability to use information technology
and modern teaching methods helps to quickly grasp
new materials.1 By combining different methods, a
teacher is able to solve specific curricula. In this
regard, teachers and students need to become familiar
with modern methods of teaching foreign languages.
As a result, you will be able to choose the most
effective way to achieve your goals. Using a variety
of teaching and learning methods can be effective.
Teaching takes place in small steps and is based on
the student's existing knowledge system.2 As time
goes on, innovation in every field increases. There are
also different styles of language teaching. When
teaching English, it is best to use step-by-step
instructions, depending on the age and level of the
learner. Students are divided into groups based on
elementary education, intermediate education, and
advanced education. A special program will be
developed by the teacher for each stage.
At the initial stage, the emphasis is on pronunciation.
According to Harmer, the first requirement for those
who know their native language during the
conversation is pronunciation. At the beginning of the
learning process, the teacher should focus on the
student's pronunciation. Although grammar and
vocabulary are important, it is useless if the speaker
mispronounces them. Native speakers can also
understand speech with grammatical errors if the
speaker pronounces the words correctly.3 Therefore,
in teaching, the main focus is on pronunciation. In
this case, the use of different audios of native
speakers gives good results. The teacher should teach
the correct pronunciation of letters and words during
the lesson. There is also a strong emphasis on oral
and reading skills in the early stages. If we look at the
types of speech activities of foreign language
teaching, the following tasks should be performed in
their teaching:
A. Create a reading mechanism;
B. Improving oral reading techniques;
C. Teach them to understand what they are reading.
At the elementary level, the emphasis is on reading
aloud. Reading texts are also becoming more and
more complex, from the simplest to the simplest.
However, it should be noted that although the work in
the early stages is mainly focused on the development
of oral skills, it does not solve the problem of
developing oral communication in English. He is only
in the process of preparing to work on a real speech.
In addition, reading words beautifully and fluently
increases a student's love of learning the language. In
addition, students will be introduced to The Present
indefinite Tense, The Past indefinite Tense. , Are
required to be familiar with verb tenses such as The
Future indefinite Tense and to be able to use verb
forms vividly in these tenses. Students learn that
nouns are used in the singular and plural, that suffixes
"s" or "es" are added to the third person singular form
of a verb in the present indefinite tense, and that
interrogative, negative, and imperative forms of
sentences are also introduced at an early stage. during
the study period. At the intermediate stage of English
language teaching, the focus should be on using
techniques that help to increase thinking, speaking,
and initiative in reading and understanding larger
texts. Students will be given homework assignments.
Exercises to check comprehension of the text are
given and can be expressed as follows:
Answer the question on the text Samarkand:
Why Samarkand is called like this?
Where is the ancient center of the city?
How many population is there?
Question-answer exercises are used to strengthen the
student's speech, improve memory, and repeat. New
words from the text are memorized. When questions
need to be answered, the repetition in the memory of
those days forms knowledge that can be learned
everywhere. In addition, organizing a variety of
students in the classroom will increase students
’interest in speaking and speed up teaching. In the
Hot Ball game, students receive a circle of messages,
telling the ball one of the new words to each other.
Participants do not repeat what they said to each
other, do not repeat, or pay for another month. This is
the time to continue the game. In the middle system,
grammar must first be deepened. Beginner programs
in computer and telephone systems are also good for
starting and continuing. Talk (Practice of Speaking
English), Daily English, Learn English (English

Master), see an example of how to speak in real
English. These programs are designed in such a way
that they are everywhere in the reading (collecting),
listening (listening), test sections. Recording new
hours learned on the phone is another good way to
repeat the hearing. The use of the method in the
mention of the continuation of the processing of even
greater English subtitled films, cartoons. Plays a role
for independent work in the upper period, with a
special edge language. The requirements for the
course started during this period are different from the
daily stages. Now the lesson does not process oral
speech, because during this period the service part
may be passive (in the receptive state). In other
words, basic understanding plays a key role.4 Texts
are also large in all respects, and language material is
complex. Reading, speaking, listening exercises
continue continuously. Regular day for Reading,
separate day for Speaking, days for Listening when
organizing a lesson. Homework assignments are also
more time-consuming and more complex to structure.
Speaking lessons involve a topic and a 2-minute talk.
Alternatively, text cards will be distributed to
students. Each student gives their opinion on the topic
on the card of their choice. The speech requires the
use of previously used phrases, phrases,
introductions, new words, synonyms. Homework can
be used to prepare additional text topics using the
press, periodicals, media, and online materials.
Students will be interested to learn about interesting
research and scientific discoveries.
In conclusion, modern language teaching is aimed at
shaping a more cultured individual who has the skills
to self-analyze and systematize new knowledge.
Innovative methods are an integral part of
modernizing the entire system. With this in mind,
teachers can become acquainted with the most
advanced approaches and then combine them and use
them in their work to achieve significant growth in
the education system. Many organizations are moving
to a new level, using multimedia capabilities to send
and receive information. The use of computers and
other devices determines the success of the whole
educational process. In addition, the success of any
lesson in education depends in many ways on the
proper organization of the lessons. The lesson should
be based on the creative collaboration of teacher and
student. Only then will students be able to think
independently and develop their will.
