This document provides an overview of the Meta Model, which is a model for dealing with distortions in everyday language. It identifies three categories of distortion: distortion, deletion, and generalization. Five specific patterns of distortion are described: mind reading, lost performative, cause-effect pattern, complex equivalence pattern, and presuppositions. For each pattern, examples are given and challenges provided to break the distortions, such as asking for evidence or specificity. The Meta Model aims to help people have richer language experiences and enhanced internal experiences by addressing distortions.
