2. Classroom Rules
• Enter the room quietly and go to your assigned seat. Get started on the daily
blog assignment. You will have 10-15 minutes to do this work before we
move on to the daily lesson.
• Be prepared: bring a pen or pencil and a notebook. A two-pocket notebook
with fasteners will be fine. You should also bring a thumb/flash drive to save
documents.
• No food, drink, or gum. Let’s keep this new building nice!
• If you need to use the bathroom, sign out in the book and get a pass, and
sign back in when you return. Only one person at a time can be out of the
room. Don't interrupt the teacher while he is giving instructions to ask for a
bathroom pass
3. Classroom Rules — Computer Use
• Take care of the computers.
• Report any issues at your workstation.
• Avoid kicking wires. Don't pull out any chords.
• Only go the educational websites that the class is working on.
• Only print what is required for class: no personal printing
4. Classroom Rules — Be Respectful
• Do not talk while the teacher is talking or giving directions.
• Do not talk while your classmates are contributing to the class.
• Always raise your hand before asking a question or participating in
discussion.
• Do not leave your seat or act up in any way while the teacher is helping an
individual student and not looking at you.
• Do not roll away from your workstation or spin in the chairs.
• Keep your hands to yourself.
5. Classroom Rules — Disruptive Behavior
• Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. After trying non-verbal and then
verbal warnings during class, you get three strikes: first, a brief verbal
warning after class; second, a call home to your parent or guardian. On the
third strike you’ll get after school detention. If the same disruptive behavior
persists, you'll be sent to the office.
• If you are removed from the room, you will have to make up any work you
missed after school or earn no credit for the day.
