Television broadcasting industry
• Companies in this industry broadcast
television programs for free to the public.
• The major US broadcast TV networks, often
referred to as the Big Four, are ABC, CBS, Fox,
and NBC; leading companies based outside
the US include ITV (the UK)
Radio industry
• The "radio industry" is a generic term for any
companies or public service providers who are
involved with the broadcast of radio stations
or ancillary services. Radio broadcasters can
be broken into at least two different groups:
Public service broadcasters are funded in
whole or in part through public money.
Film industry
• The film industry or motion picture industry
comprises the technological and commercial
institutions of filmmaking, i.e., film production
companies, film studios, cinematography, film
production, screenwriting, pre-production,
post production, film festivals, distribution;
and actors, film directors and other film crew.
Advertisement industry
• Advertising is an audio or visual form of
marketing communication that employs an
openly sponsored, non personal message to
promote or sell a product, service or idea.
Sponsors of advertising are often businesses
who wish to promote their products or
services.
Interactive media
• Interactive media normally refers to products
and services on digital computer-based
systems which respond to the user's actions
by presenting content such as text, moving
image, animation, video, audio, and video
games.
