2. My media product uses a variety of different people from different
backgrounds, ethnicities, races and religions.
3. The main image on my front cover is of a female rock artist. This
indicates to the audience that in rock, gender doesn’t matter, as
women can be just as successful as men in the industry.
In the image, the artist is holding an electric guitar, as this instrument
symbolises rock music. This is also something that the target
audience would think of when they listen to rock, for example.
The artist is also wearing bright coloured clothing, which implies that
your interests don’t always reflect your personality. For example, if I
had someone wearing dark clothing on the cover, who enjoyed
listening to metal, it doesn’t mean that they are angry and frustrated,
which people often think fans of rock are.

In terms of the articles and language used, my media product
suggests that the fans of the rock genre are sophisticated and
educated.
I think this as the structure of my double page spread article is set
out in three columns, so that it is easy for the audience to follow. I
also used red and black text to separate the article from the pull
quotes, so the pages are easy to navigate.
As my magazine is aimed at 17- 30 year olds, I included articles that
will be of interest to everyone, such as competitions to win free gig
tickets and behind the scenes of an ‘Against Me’ gig.
