2.  We are going to read page 313 – 315 of the book which looks at
social media (facebook, twitter, youtube, etc.
 We shall take notes along the way about what they are and
how powerful they can be.
 We’ll then examine an activity on page 123 of your activity
book which asks us to discuss the ‘Do’s and Don’ts’ of being
online. For example, don’t give out credit card details, your
mothers maiden name, etc.

book. Raise hands after each paragraph and take notes.
 (note) Old media is one-way or non-interactive like a TV, Radio
or newspaper.
 (note) Facebook (2004), Youtube (2005) and Twitter (2006) are
all still considered new and thus laws to manage them are still
being created.
 (Task) Copy the box at the bottom of page 314 and create a bar
chart.
