Bits are the smallest unit of digital information and are usually assembled into groups of eight, called bytes, to store and transmit data. This document explains that bits are assembled into bytes and provides an activity that asks the reader to convert a decimal number to binary and calculate how many 10KB files can be stored in a 2MB folder.
