spheroidising – normalising, hardening and Tempering of
steel. Isothermal transformation diagrams – cooling curves
superimposed on I.T. diagram CCR – Hardenability, Jominy
end quench test - Austempering, martempering – case
hardening, carburizing, Nitriding, cyaniding, carbonitriding –
Flame and Induction hardening – Vacuum and Plasma
hardening.
