This 3-credit course introduces students to using major social media tools to reach personal and professional goals. The 6-week course meets for 3 hours each Friday evening and teaches students how to leverage social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter, analyze link performance, embed content on web pages, and track online discussions. Students will complete exercises, two assignments, a final project, and must maintain professionalism to earn their grade. Upon completing the course, students will understand key social media concepts and be able to promote themselves or a business using tools for networking, content sharing, and analytics.
