Terra Ellis was unsure of her career path until discovering her passion for photography in high school. She found that Full Sail University was a perfect fit for pursuing her new dream of becoming a photojournalist. Thanks to experience gained from her supportive high school media teacher, Terra was able to succeed in her college courses by already having familiarity with camera equipment. She is looking forward to graduating and gaining her degree, which will open many new doors for her budding media career.

1. MY MCBS STORY

2. • Before I started the MCBS program I was unsure of what my life
would hold. I knew I wanted to be a photojournalist. I just couldn’t
find the right school for it. So one day while searching the internet
for colleges, I found Full Sail. I knew it was a perfect fit.

3. • I had always thought I wanted to be a DJ. It was like my biggest
dream from 5th-10th grade.
But then one day during my tenth grade year of high school my
dreams of becoming a DJ faded away as I became interested in
photography. Thanks to my high school media teacher I became
interested in the camera production area.

4. • Because of that I worked with cameras shooting videos, making
commercials, and websites. At first it was very challenging because
I had no experience in this field whatsoever. I was very blessed to
have a teacher that was kind and taught me everything I needed to
know.

5. • Because of that I had pervious experience in high school to make
my experience in college better.

6. • Because of that I can make really good grades in my courses since I
have an idea of how the equipment works.

7. • Until finally I get my degree. Getting my degree is something I've
been looking forward to my entire life. It is going to open up so
many doors for me!

8. • And ever since I decided to pursue my passion for media I’ve
became a totally different person. I’m less shy and talk to more
people!
