Edgar Sandoval graduated from Waukegan High School in Illinois where he was involved in wrestling, volleyball, and humanitarian organizations. At Dartmouth, he is a geography and government major who has held several leadership roles such as his current position as Community Development Officer for a service program in Nicaragua. Sandoval spent the past spring working in women's empowerment in Nicaragua and has participated in study abroad programs in Brazil. During the winter of 2013, he interned with the International Network for Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights where he developed resources for human rights defenders, updated websites and databases, and gained experience in nonprofit management. Sandoval hopes to attend law or graduate school with a focus on human rights
