and your facility in working with
people with disabilities.
REVIEWING DELIVERABLES
 Sites agree to offer no less than 4 courses
per year, per intervention.
 Sites agree to meet participant target goals
of 15 new participants for each course
offered.
 Marketing outside your facility.
 Use community resources to attract folks that
don’t already have an exercise routine.
 Encourage word-of-mouth, offer incentives for
this form of marketing.
 Think outside the box – people of all ages can
have arthritis.
REVIEWING DELIVERABLES
 Following initial AFEP &/or WWE
instructor training, it is mandatory to meet
the following requirements in order to
attain and keep certification:
 Teach a minimum of 1 class per week for 6 weeks
within 6 months of training.
 Mail certification application to Katie at the Arthritis
Foundation.
 Instructors must be CPR certified. (AFEP)
 Once certified, Instructors must teach at least one
class series per year.
