The document presents a comparative study of seven maximum power point tracking (MPPT) techniques for photovoltaic (PV) systems, focusing on their efficiency, response, cost, and other performance metrics. Techniques compared include classical methods like Perturb and Observe (P&O), Incremental Conductance (Inc), and various artificial intelligence (AI) and bio-inspired methods such as Fuzzy Logic Control (FLC), Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS), and Cuckoo Search (CS). Simulation results indicate that CS and ANN outperform others in terms of cost and performance, while ANFIS shows the highest efficiency despite requiring more sensors.
