PARTITIVE PROPORTION
In partitive proportion, a whole is divided
into parts that is proportional to the given
ratio.
To solve word problems involving partitive
proportion, divide the given total or
difference by the sum or difference of the
ratio, then multiply the answer by each of
the terms.
