2. PENGERTIAN
Prefix = Imbuhan yang berada pada awal
suatu kata baik pada verb, noun,
atau adjective. Contoh: React,
recall, proactive, nonfiction
Suffix = Imbuhan yang berada pada akhir
suatu kata baik pada verb, noun,
atau adjective. Contoh: Careless
smaller, strongest, entertainment,
Penambahan prefix atau suffix pada suatu
kata akan membentuk kata baru dan
biasanya membentuk arti atau makna baru.
Contoh Submarine (kapal selam)
Submarine berasal dari kata marine (laut)
ditambah prefix sub.
Prefix sub + marine membentuk kata dan
arti baru, yaitu submarine

3. Contoh Endless (tiada akhir).
Endless berasal dari kata end (akhir)
ditambah suffix less.
End + suffix –less membentuk kata dan
arti baru, yaitu endless
Contoh nonsense (omong kosong).
Nonsense berasal dari kata sense
(Noun: indera; verb: merasakan)
ditambah prefix non.
Prefix non + sense membentuk kata dan
arti baru, yaitu nonsense.
Contoh entertainment (hiburan).
Entertainment berasal dari kata entertain
(verb: menghibur) ditambah suffix -ent.
Entertain + ent membentuk kata dan arti
baru, yaitu entertainment (Noun: hiburan.

4. Kebanyakan Verb dibentuk dari suatu kata
ditambah prefix re-, dis-, over-, un-, miss-,
out-. Atau suffix –dise, -en, -ate, -(i)fy,
Contoh: Reuse, discover, overflow, undo,
missjudge, outreach, ratdise, fallen,
humiliate, justify
Kebanyakan Noun dibentuk dari suatu kata
ditambah prefix co-, sub-. Atau suffix –tion,
-ity, -er, -ness, -ism, -ment, -ant, -ship, -age,
-ery
Contoh: Copilot, submarine, migration,
purity, rapper, emptyness, nationalism,
entertainment, deodorant, friendship,
Mileage, archery

5. Suffix yang digabungkan dengan Verb
(Kata kerja atau Noun (Kata Benda) akan
membentuk adjective.
Contoh :
Drinkable (bisa diminum)
Drink (Verb: minum) + able
Paperless (tanpa kertas)
Paper (NounL kertas) + less

6. Chameleon Prefix
Suatu kata yang terlihat seperti memiliki
Prefix, namun pada kenyataannya adalah
Suatu kata yang berdiri sendiri
Kunci suatu kata terdapat prefix atau suffix
adalah dengan cara memisahkan prefix
atau suffix-nya dengan kata root -nya.
Jika dipisahkan kata root-nya menjadi tidak
memiliki arti, maka kata tersebut adalah
Chameleon prefix.

Mediterranean fishing
Small-scale fishers make up half of all those employed in Europe’s fishing
sector. Yet when it comes to policymaking, they often find themselves
overlooked in favour of industrial-sized organisations.
But they face the same environmental and economic challenges as
everyone else, and in Croatia and Greece small-scale fishers are finding
innovative ways to respond.
Sustainable fishing as a premium product
"My whole life, ever since I was young, I watched fishermen's boats at
sea right in front of my house," says scampi fisher Šime Barić. "And I
imagined how one day I could become like them.
Fishing always fascinated me, and I love being at sea.“ Šime catches
langoustines in the Velebit Сhannel for Roza Fishing. Also known as
scampi, they are Croatia's most iconic and prized seafood.
But despite the high value of his catch, he's made the choice to fish less.
The size of Šime's boat and the type of his gear officially make him a
"small-scale fisher".
In policy debates, artisans like him are often overshadowed by the big
fishing industry.
But they play an important role, both cultural and economic, in small
coastal communities like Šime's village, Barić Draga.
"Here, in this area, there really are no other sources of income than
fishing," he says.
"It's perhaps the only way you can work all year round and earn money."
Roughly one morning out of two, when the weather's favourable, Šime
checks his creels — they're the cages that catch langoustines on the
seafloor.
"What's very important is that there's no bottom trawling in this
channel," he says. "We don't drag nets along the seafloor.
All the scampi from this area have been caught with selective gear -
meaning it only captures larger ones that can't pass through the mesh.
The seabed stays intact, and the langoustines are undamaged, with
minimal stress, so it's really a premium product."
