DENSO-Mastic PF is a petrolatum-based void filler and profiling compound for irregular shapes on buried pipeline installations. It has special advantages of being easy to apply and having low density for proven corrosion protection. DENSO-Mastic PF is applied by hand or spatula to fill gaps and hollows around flanged connections before wrapping with DENSO petrolatum tapes. It is supplied in 2 liter and 12 liter plastic buckets.

Description
DENSO-Mastic PF is a petrolatum
based void filler and profiling
compound for irregular shapes on
buried pipeline installations (e.g.
flanged connections or valves). Due
to a special composition and the
contained small polystyrene balls the
application of DENSO Mastic PF at
low ambient temperatures is
particularly easy, compared to
standard petrolatum filler mastics.

Application
Flange coating
The areas to be coated have to be
clean, dry. Rust, dirt, humidity and
any other contamination have to be
removed prior to coating. Mechanical
surface preparation can be
performed by wire brushing. A
surface cleanliness corresponding to
ST2 according ISO 8501-1 is
sufficient for subsequent coating
with DENSO-Mastic PF and DENSO
petrolatum tapes.
DENSO-Mastic PF is applied by
hand or spatula. Fill the flange gap
and potential hollows around nuts
and bolts with Mastic PF.
Subsequently wrap the required
number of layers of DENSO
petrolatum tape (e.g. DENSOPLAST-
Tape).
