The feedback on the masthead designs for a new music magazine was mostly positive, with suggestions for improvement to better suit a rap genre. The feedback focused on opinions about what designs were interesting versus bolder or could use different colors. Based on majority feedback and his own preference, the author chose the third masthead design, which was criticized only for its size but he felt had a bold title; adding a border could make it look sleeker.

1. Masthead Feedback summarisation
Overall I believe that my feedback was very helpful in allowing me to identify what was good and
bad about the mastheads I had displayed. Mainly the feedback was positive with suggestions on
what I can do to improve these ideas of what masthead I’m going to use in my music magazine.
They also generalised these suggestions on what they thought would be better for the genre of rap
music. Mostly the feedback was based from opinion, what they like and the don’t like. In the variety
of things that were said most offered things such as ‘interesting’ or ‘could be bolder’ or ‘could use a
different colour’.
For my final decision I have chosen the third masthead out of three as that was the one that I took a
liking to, as well as those who gave me the feedback, by majority vote. The only thing that was
criticized was the size of the masthead which can be changed, but generally I like how bold the title
is, another thing that I think could be changed about this masthead is that It needs a border around
it. This would be to make it look more sleek and less dull or boring.
