qualification of new tools/process before endorsing to production.
2. Characterization of new tools and processes for better understanding of critical tool parameters
sensitivity to process output/leading indicators by process windowing, DOE and reliability
assessment.
3. Define the standard operating procedures, work instructions, OCAP procedures, FMEA and
other relevant documentations to implement in the line
4. Identify critical tool parameters and its sensitivity for better control of the processes.
5. Set-up Process and tool SPC as well metrology MSA/P-T to control the processes and
understand the process variations.
6. Identify process variation and implement actions to reduce, minimize and eventually eliminate
these variations for better control of the processes.
7. Assess based specification limits and control limits based on critical tool parameters
sensitivities, process output sensitivities to final product. Regular review of SPC (including CpK, ,Z
indices) to gauge stability as well as effectivity of actions define to improve process stability.
8. Improve efficiency, mechanical yield losses, process yield losses, and throughput
enhancement
9. Cost reduction initiatives and sourcing of alternative vendors for tools, chemicals or fixtures.
10. Streamlining the processes by reducing non-value added activities to improve productivity.
11. Liaise with quality department to reduce and eliminate any customer findings. Implement
actions to address issues. Continuous improvement in the process by tightening the control.
