1. Market Research
The purpose of my research was to investigate what type of music magazine was favoured
by college students on campus. By interviewing them with a series of questions, such as
‘what is your preferred genre of music’ and ‘what content do you like most in a magazine’
laid out in a questionnaire format. The purpose was to try and find out what they read and
what they enjoy and this would then relate back to their age and gender to see if this also
makes a difference. My primary research method was asking the students a series of
questions through the use of a quick summary questionnaire that would help me analyse
what music magazine they prefer and why. This was mainly set through observing
quantitative results, however there were answers that were open to answer with anything,
this was qualitative.Below, I have presented my results in a summary of graphs that show
what I found while conducting the questionnaire amongst the students.
This graph here shows the age groups of the
What is Your Age? students that I interviewed. What these results
6 indicate is that the majority of my interviewees
were aged 15-17, with 5 being in this age
4 15-17 category, 2 people were aged 18-20 and just 1
2 18-20 who was 21+. This result would allow me to

the main bulk of my study.

shows that the majority of my study was
females with 63% whereas the percentage of
