– Evidence based laws + education + enforcement has led to reductions
in RTI and fatalities.

Journalism Fellowship?
lMedia advocacy overall
– Support legislative change process through media.
– Place key messages, on key media, at key times.
lFrom the participants
– Increase their level of independent and reduce
dependence on ad-hoc media briefs, press releases
or key stakeholders pushing information to them.

Soon to come
l Expanding the reach of capacity development to bridge the gap
between policy experts and legal experts.
l WHO-JHU road safety legislation online course will be released
soon. It will target civil society and lawyers with limited experience in
road safety related legislation to be exposed to:
– Road safety global policy context
– Evidence and proven interventions
– How these interventions should be used to formulate good
laws/regulations
– How to advocate and engage with media to improve laws and regulations
l Meeting of parliamentarians : 12 December 2016 in London
