He mastered advanced mathematical concepts entirely on his own from books in his local library. Ramanujan's genius was further awakened after studying a book on 5000 mathematical theorems. He went on to make significant contributions to mathematical analysis, number theory, infinite series, and continued fractions. Despite having no formal training, Ramanujan was eventually recognized by mathematicians at Cambridge University, where he was elected as a Fellow.

Reading- Marking Period Ends- Our 3rd Marking We have been working on our personal reading Period will end next Friday, March 30th. books as well as meeting in our guided reading groups this week. March Is Reading Month Continues- Next week we will meet with the author of Ellie Writing- McDoodle in an assembly on Wednesday We have been looking at what Mercy means. 2pm. Students had an opportunity to start pieces on Mercy this week. We have also begun to look into our upcoming Michigan research project. Battle at the Beach – We will be having our Math- Battle of the Books on March 30th. Students We are working on Division! We have gotten will be participating in the gym to see which into remainders and 2 digit quotients. We will team can recall the most about the books that take a test next week! they have been reading. Science- Finish assembling that science Fair project. The Science Fair is scheduled for April 11. Boards are due to Mrs. Benson on March 29th.
