This document outlines the study plan and career prospects for a law and finance degree in Mexico. The 4.5 year study plan covers both legal and financial courses over 9 semesters. As a graduate, one would be able to propose legal solutions with consideration of social needs, engage with social responsibility, and provide legal support to financial decisions with humanistic vision and ethics. Potential career paths include working as a lawyer in a law firm, companies, or starting one's own practice, with typical tasks involving resolving legal cases and an average base salary of 35,000 pesos.
This document discusses how modern entrepreneurs can successfully launch startups with minimal funding through "bootstrapping". It describes how today's entrepreneurs have advantages over predecessors due to reduced costs from outsourcing, cloud computing, and viral marketing. Bootstrappers focus on a single attainable goal, get closer to customers, and maintain control over their company. While challenging, bootstrapping requires passion, resourcefulness, openness to sharing ideas, and surrounding oneself with experienced people.

Hayden Dawson presented on his experience banding hummingbirds in Paradise, Arizona in September 2009. He discussed how hummingbirds were trapped carefully using nets, then banded and recorded before being released. The presentation featured many photographs of the different hummingbird species encountered, including black-chinned hummingbirds, blue-throated hummingbirds, and broad-tailed hummingbirds. Special thanks were given to those who taught Hayden about birds and assisted with the project.

ABSTRACT
Modern telco billing processing systems face huge challenges in the search to move from mostly offline, or batch, processing of billing events to handling huge volumes of events in near-real time. The challenges for an architect of such a system are: how to handle the high throughput processing of near real-time events with low latency while maintaining strict transactional semantics and provide high availability and scalability of the service.
We present our extreme transaction processing solution leveraging Oracle Coherence as an in-memory-data-grid (IMDG) which provides reliable messaging, data storage, and asynchronous write-back to RDBMS. The system follows the staged event driven architecture (SEDA) design pattern providing for a flexible and manageable design that is both highly available and scalable. We discuss lessons learned during performance tuning and profiling plus best practices that are applicable for any Coherence user.

On Sunday October 18th, the film group met at Tooting Broadway station at 12:30pm to film scenes for their project. They had found a cafe that would be a good filming location, but it was closed due to it being a Sunday. With limited resources, they filmed scenes of an actress walking and being evicted, as well as "cheating scenes". Bad weather prevented further filming on Tuesday, so they rescheduled for Friday October 23rd to continue their project.
This document discusses open source in relation to graphic design. It first defines open source and provides historical examples. It then discusses the psychology behind open source designs, noting motivations like self-gratification, self-realization, and altruism. Open source relates to graphic design through the community aspect of design, blurred lines between programmers and designers, and client demands. The pros of open source for design include collective problem solving, promoting creativity, and customization, while the cons can include limiting creativity, copyright issues, and ethics.
One of the CIA's atrocities is its establishment of a torture and genocide training facility at Ft. Benning, GA, where tyrants and their minions across Latin America have been and still are trained, including the killers of Archbishop Oscar Romero and the Martyrs of El Salvador. Every November, there have been protests by left-leaning Roman Catholics and many others. This show features photos of the 2009 protest taken by Paul Crum of Pax Christi Memphis.
This document provides information on the Kee Guard roof edge protection system. It describes the system's components, installation process, and compliance with relevant safety standards. The modular system uses galvanized steel posts and tubes along with recycled PVC counterweights to provide a freestanding collective fall protection along roof edges up to a 10 degree pitch. It can be installed quickly without penetrating the roof surface and sections can be added or changed on site using standard fittings and tools.
This document analyzes the annual reports of Johnson & Johnson over five years. It summarizes that J&J is a global American pharmaceutical, medical device, and consumer goods manufacturer founded in 1886. The income statement shows total sales and net income increasing over time, though net income declined from 2007 to 2008. The balance sheet indicates rapid growth in total assets and liabilities from 2006 to 2007, while current assets declined in that period. Based on past trends, forecasts are made that total liabilities and assets will increase in 2009. Opinions from professionals praise J&J's size, bargaining power, and future potential in the growing pharmaceutical industry.
In June 2008, I wrote a 2-page document in response to 2 online special education courses I took, expecting to be about real disabilities, but proved to be significantly about psychiatric labels and other politically motivated labels, e.g. "AIDS" and "type 2 diabetes," which have been manufactured by the ideological descendants of the Inquisition. The content lent itself better to PowerPoint, and over the next year, the project grew into the opus seen here. It concludes with my vision of world peace and the significant challenges in getting there. Running time: approx. 1 hr. 20 min. Rated PG-13 for some tart language. NOTE: to download the gorgeous sacred music that accompanies this presentation, go to http://assumetheopposite.com/Powerful_PowerPoints.html and follow the instructions to download the music files and create a playlist in the order shown.
To create a political cartoon, follow these steps:
1. Open a Microsoft program like Word, Publisher, or PowerPoint to build your cartoon. Use tools like the drawing toolbar, pencil tool, and color options to draw figures, images, and diagrams related to your cartoon's meaning.
2. Insert pictures or diagrams to enhance your cartoon visually.
3. Use features in the selected program, such as square objects in Word or layouts in PowerPoint, to construct and design your political cartoon.
Political cartoons are illustrations or comic strips that contain a political or social message relating to current events or personalities. They are a type of editorial cartoon meant to influence opinions with humor, exaggeration, and caricature. Effective political cartoons use wit and satire to draw attention to and critique issues and public figures.
APIs have become a part of the product ecosystem - and help the businesses by extending their developer base, and offering seamless integration with other services or products. Sometimes, the APIs themselves are the product. However, with so many APIs around, patterns emerge. Patterns are repeatable, reusable solutions to commonly occurring problems. Where there are patterns, there are also antipatterns. While APIs are not a new paradigm - there are no set standards or specifications formed by a committees or governing bodies for APIs. On top of this, the APIs are often built at various stages of the product, and have a good chance of being disjoint as more are added. In this talk Netflix engineers will discuss various antipatterns that creep into the API design and implementation, and how to identify and avoid them. They will also share their experiences with building APIs. While the antipatterns do not pose as big a functional challenge, they can and do impact integration efforts, scalability and performance among other things. After this session, you should be able to get familiar with the best practices around solving the most common patterns, and make your engineers and API consumers happy!

He quickly establishes rapport with people and contributes freely to help them develop and deliver their ideas and responsibilities. Lovell also notes that Overton is an innovator who brings fresh insights and creates new opportunities that are practical and deliver tangible change and results, citing as an example Overton's suggestion to change the seating arrangement for a meeting that continued to be effective. Lovell recommends Overton.
