Patintero - A Fun Filipino Game
Patintero is a popular game played in the
Philippines. In addition, it comes from the Spanish term
tinte, which means "tint or ink“, referring to the drawn
lines. It is played with two teams, each with at least 5
players. The goal of the game is to block the other
team from passing through the lines.
How to Play
1. Draw a big rectangle on the ground and divide it into
smaller rectangles, usually 6-8 smaller rectangles.
2. The two teams take turns being the "guards" and the
"runners".
3. The guards stand on the lines, with one guard on each
line. Their job is to try to tag the runners as they try to run
through the lines.

and back without getting tagged by the guards.
5. If a runner gets tagged, they are out of the game.
6. If a runner makes it all the way through without getting
tagged, their team gets points.
7. After 2 minutes, the teams switch roles - the runners
become the guards and the guards become the
runners.

get:
First line: 1 point
Second, third, and fourth lines: 2 points each
Reaching the end and back: 5 points

they are guarding.
