A step-by-step guide
It is important to have a set criteria of your
ideal product. Once you've chosen your criteria
based on the stage of your store, you will use
this as a basis for your product hunting.
Criteria
Here is an example of a set
criteria ↓
Price: $15 - $25 or higher
Profit margin: 20% - 40%
Est. sales: minimum of 500
units
No. of reviews: maximum of
500 reviews
Product weight: 3 lbs and
below
Step 1
Go to Amazon Best
Seller's List.
Step 2
Choose a category of
your liking.
Home and Kitchen
Beauty and Personal Care
Kitchen and Dining
]Arts and Crafts
Patio, Lawn, and Garden
Industrial and Scientific
Tools and Home Improvements
If you're new to Amazon selling,
it is best to choose from these
categories:
Step 3
Choose a Product
Listing that catches
your eye.
Once you are on the product
listing page, check if it meets
your criteria, if it doesn't,
look at similar products or
products customers also bought.
Step 4
Choose a Product
Listing that meets
your criteria.
Step 5
Copy the main keyword
of the Product Title.
Step 6
Paste it on the
Amazon search bar and
observe if the
products shown are
mostly the same.
Step 7
Use Helium 10's X-ray
tool on the page.
Step 8
Order the products by
highest to lowest in
sales.
Step 9
Delete products that
are sponsored and
don't look the same
from your chosen
product.
Tip: Click load more to make
sure all products are in your
data.
Repeat the process
until you have your
goal amount of
products.
Step 10
Copy the ASINs of the
first five products
and enter it in your
excel sheet
Step 11
Use the FBA calculator
on Seller Central to
collect the data of the
estimated sales.
Step 12
All done!
