Introduction
 Steel plays a vital role in accelerating the growth
and development of a country. It is a project of
large and technologically advanced industry
having strong forward and backward linkages in
term of material flow and income generation .
 Taibah Steel Re-rolling mills is a private limited
company which is situated in Industrial area(I-9/3)
in Islamabad. Al-Haj Farooq Ahmed is the owner
and CEO of this company. This mill was
inaugurated on 3rd August 2008.
Background
 The mill produce grade-40 and grade-60 steels. Grade-
40 steel is use in domestic purpose and grade-60 steel
is use in international purpose. The whole mill
working based on heavy machinery which is managed
by different groups in the staff that holds specific
skills. The mill have different management levels with
different departments holding their fields.

There are five basic function of management
 Planning
 Organizing
 Leading
 Controlling
 Staffing
Function of management
(Planning)
In planning manager set there goals, establish strategies
to achieve those goals. The research manager of Taibah
steel make a plan about stock, when to purchase, how to
purchase, what kind of staff are required and how to
manage it.
Functions of management
(Organizing)
 Plan made by top management then been
implemented further by manager of the related
department who organize the structure of staff the
related task and identify the activities of a business. In
Taibah steel the managers of the related deparment
assign the duties to the staff that what to do, how to
do, and when to do.
Function of management
(Leading)
After organizing the staff the Manager can also see how
his employees start their work and they deal with
customer and how they attract the customer to purchase
their product.
 In Taibah steel due to illiterate low level staff the
managers of related group/department take care of the
working of the workers by leading them during tasks
and guiding them in a proper manner.
Function of management
(Controlling)
Controlling is the last function of management:
 Manager monitor the whole scenario of business and
its performance & compare it with the set goals
whether he accomplished his target or not.
 The manager daily check the business performance
and take corrective action about it.

(Staffing)
 Staffing is to hire new people according to the
requirements as there is a specific HR department who
leads that working but in Taibah steels the setup
doesn’t have that department and they hire people
according to their past experiences and performances
and also some reference-based selections.

machinery
 Step 1: Breaking of girder
into two pieces and then
put it on a slider, take it
to the furnace.

girder at red hot the girder
move towards the bender
and compressor for the
first time

towards the second bender
and compressor to make
the iron more thin

 Step 4: Then the iron
again moving like a snake
into the compressor and its
thickness again reduced
and it is the last
compressing point for re-
rolling of girders.

which the processed
material is moved out of
the processing area and
after cooling down is
racked for the dealing.

Responsibilities of individual
organization
 In Taibah steel mills every workers is responsible for
their own work all workers complete their work on
time. If workers is responsible then company achieve a
high profit because every business start with the trust
worthy workers.
Ethic of an organization
 Ethic means behavior of workers in an organization.
Whether person behave ethically and unethically. In
Taibah steel mills all worker perform and show ethical
behavior. Workers always reach in office on time and
leave office on time, don’t create disturbance in office.
All workers must follow the ethic of a company
Customer care services and
dealing’s
Taibah steel mills always took care of his customer
 Manager helps the worker.
 Manager assist the worker.
 Manager guide the worker.
 Manager give better advice to worker to make business
performance excellent.
Complementary services
Complementary services means extra services that
company give to its customer.
Complementary services include:
 Taibah steel mills give extra discount to its customer
who purchase steel in huge quantity, Sometimes mill
give extra transport service to its routine customer.
Safety and security controls
 Safety and security include the security of office and
security of warehouse where steel is store in huge
quantity.
 Taibah steel hired total 20guards for the safety and
security of steel.
 Duties are divided, 10guards perform his duties in
Morning shift and 10guards perform his duties in
Night shift.
Corporate social responsibility
The CSR activities of Taibah steel are:
 The company construct small houses, In which they
use steel of their own material & these small houses
are donated to Refugees of Flood and Earthquake
every year before the month of Ramadan.
SWOT analysis
SWOT analysis stands for Strength, Weakness,
Opportunities and Threats:
Strength
 Business background.
 Quality & Quantity is based upon customer
satisfaction.
 Professional and highly educated staff.
 Team Coordination.

 They are not able to produce small size bars
 Production of bonding wire is a big question mark.
 Less popularity of brand name.
 Manual account system is used.

 Some companies import steel from china in less cost
 6.2tons per hour steel are produce. Maximum time of
running of mill is 12hrs no exceed then it due to failure
of engines

Product
DEFORMED STEEL BARS
 Finest cold twisted steel bars
 Grade 40
 Grade 60 (conforming to ASTM A 615) for large
infrastructure projects.
QUALITY & STANDARDS
 TAIBAH STEEL certainly the first private company in the re-rolling
industry to have in-house testing facilities. The mill is equipped with
Testing Machine that can directly check the yield stress of bars above 1"
without reduction of bar diameter. The laboratory along with the
manufacturing facility is ISO 9001:2008 certified.
 All tests can be carried out in the presence of customers to create an
awareness of how to buy high quality steel with complete confidence.
All tests can be accompanied with a stress/ strain graph showing
accuracy of results.
 Because of these unique testing facilities and proven track record for
service to customers TAIBAH Steels products are often referred to as
the "TAIBAH" in steel against which other steel products available in
the market are compared.
DELIVERY NETWORK
 Contractors & Consultants of quality projects rely on
us to provide the best quality of reinforcement steel
bars available in Pakistan and to have it delivered to
them wherever they might be working, on time, and in
perfect condition every time.
 It is being expected that Taibah Steel will deliver steel
business network to all the major cities of Pakistan.
Conclusion
 They have new business setup in the market.
 They don’t have impressive marketing plans.
 People have less awareness about the that brand.
 Security is the main issue for them.
 They have very hardworking staff and have the spirit to
compete with others in the field.
 They have no setup for warehousing now.
Recommendations
 They have to increase their business by open new
setups in different cities.
 They need to advertise their brand by good promoting
options.
 They need to look after their security setup.
 They should have to focus on the need of warehousing.

  • 6. Introduction  Steel plays a vital role in accelerating the growth and development of a country. It is a project of large and technologically advanced industry having strong forward and backward linkages in term of material flow and income generation .  Taibah Steel Re-rolling mills is a private limited company which is situated in Industrial area(I-9/3) in Islamabad. Al-Haj Farooq Ahmed is the owner and CEO of this company. This mill was inaugurated on 3rd August 2008.
  • 7. Background  The mill produce grade-40 and grade-60 steels. Grade- 40 steel is use in domestic purpose and grade-60 steel is use in international purpose. The whole mill working based on heavy machinery which is managed by different groups in the staff that holds specific skills. The mill have different management levels with different departments holding their fields.

  • 11. Function of management (Planning) In planning manager set there goals, establish strategies to achieve those goals. The research manager of Taibah steel make a plan about stock, when to purchase, how to purchase, what kind of staff are required and how to manage it.
  • 12. Functions of management (Organizing)  Plan made by top management then been implemented further by manager of the related department who organize the structure of staff the related task and identify the activities of a business. In Taibah steel the managers of the related deparment assign the duties to the staff that what to do, how to do, and when to do.
  • 13. Function of management (Leading) After organizing the staff the Manager can also see how his employees start their work and they deal with customer and how they attract the customer to purchase their product.  In Taibah steel due to illiterate low level staff the managers of related group/department take care of the working of the workers by leading them during tasks and guiding them in a proper manner.
  • 14. Function of management (Controlling) Controlling is the last function of management:  Manager monitor the whole scenario of business and its performance & compare it with the set goals whether he accomplished his target or not.  The manager daily check the business performance and take corrective action about it.

Function of management (Staffing)  Staffing is to hire new people according to the requirements as there is a specific HR department who leads that working but in Taibah steels the setup doesn’t have that department and they hire people according to their past experiences and performances and also some reference-based selections.

  • 17. Production and Working of machinery  Step 1: Breaking of girder into two pieces and then put it on a slider, take it to the furnace.
  • 18. Production and Working of machinery  Step 2: After heating up of girder at red hot the girder move towards the bender and compressor for the first time
  • 19. Production and Working of machinery  Step 3: The girder move towards the second bender and compressor to make the iron more thin
  • 20. Production and Working of machinery  Step 4: Then the iron again moving like a snake into the compressor and its thickness again reduced and it is the last compressing point for re- rolling of girders.
  • 21. Production and Working of machinery  Step 5: The last step in which the processed material is moved out of the processing area and after cooling down is racked for the dealing.

  • 27. Responsibilities of individual organization  In Taibah steel mills every workers is responsible for their own work all workers complete their work on time. If workers is responsible then company achieve a high profit because every business start with the trust worthy workers.
  • 28. Ethic of an organization  Ethic means behavior of workers in an organization. Whether person behave ethically and unethically. In Taibah steel mills all worker perform and show ethical behavior. Workers always reach in office on time and leave office on time, don’t create disturbance in office. All workers must follow the ethic of a company
  • 29. Customer care services and dealing’s Taibah steel mills always took care of his customer  Manager helps the worker.  Manager assist the worker.  Manager guide the worker.  Manager give better advice to worker to make business performance excellent.
  • 30. Complementary services Complementary services means extra services that company give to its customer. Complementary services include:  Taibah steel mills give extra discount to its customer who purchase steel in huge quantity, Sometimes mill give extra transport service to its routine customer.
  • 31. Safety and security controls  Safety and security include the security of office and security of warehouse where steel is store in huge quantity.  Taibah steel hired total 20guards for the safety and security of steel.  Duties are divided, 10guards perform his duties in Morning shift and 10guards perform his duties in Night shift.
  • 32. Corporate social responsibility The CSR activities of Taibah steel are:  The company construct small houses, In which they use steel of their own material & these small houses are donated to Refugees of Flood and Earthquake every year before the month of Ramadan.
  • 33. SWOT analysis SWOT analysis stands for Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threats: Strength  Business background.  Quality & Quantity is based upon customer satisfaction.  Professional and highly educated staff.  Team Coordination.
  • 34. SWOT analysis Weakness  They are not able to produce small size bars  Production of bonding wire is a big question mark.  Less popularity of brand name.  Manual account system is used.
  • 35. SWOT analysis Opportunities  Creative mind of staff help in the field a lot.  Moral support to workers.  Developing area.
  • 36. SWOT analysis Threats  Some companies import steel from china in less cost  6.2tons per hour steel are produce. Maximum time of running of mill is 12hrs no exceed then it due to failure of engines  Threats from competitors  Threats from packages that is offer other steel companies
  • 37. Product DEFORMED STEEL BARS  Finest cold twisted steel bars  Grade 40  Grade 60 (conforming to ASTM A 615) for large infrastructure projects.
  • 38. QUALITY & STANDARDS  TAIBAH STEEL certainly the first private company in the re-rolling industry to have in-house testing facilities. The mill is equipped with Testing Machine that can directly check the yield stress of bars above 1" without reduction of bar diameter. The laboratory along with the manufacturing facility is ISO 9001:2008 certified.  All tests can be carried out in the presence of customers to create an awareness of how to buy high quality steel with complete confidence. All tests can be accompanied with a stress/ strain graph showing accuracy of results.  Because of these unique testing facilities and proven track record for service to customers TAIBAH Steels products are often referred to as the "TAIBAH" in steel against which other steel products available in the market are compared.
  • 39. DELIVERY NETWORK  Contractors & Consultants of quality projects rely on us to provide the best quality of reinforcement steel bars available in Pakistan and to have it delivered to them wherever they might be working, on time, and in perfect condition every time.  It is being expected that Taibah Steel will deliver steel business network to all the major cities of Pakistan.

Conclusion  They have new business setup in the market.  They don’t have impressive marketing plans.  People have less awareness about the that brand.  Security is the main issue for them.  They have very hardworking staff and have the spirit to compete with others in the field.  They have no setup for warehousing now.
  • 41. Recommendations  They have to increase their business by open new setups in different cities.  They need to advertise their brand by good promoting options.  They need to look after their security setup.  They should have to focus on the need of warehousing.
