Recent legal documents support reforms like increasing faculty with doctorates through projects funding overseas and in-country doctoral study. Universities offer international programs and 4 models of excellence universities established with foreign partners. Quality assurance includes international accreditation of 127 programs and improving university rankings. The new Project 89 aims to train 10% of university faculty with doctorates by 2030, presenting opportunities for staff exchanges and international training projects under government initiatives.

Improving access to seven day services - Taunton 4th March 2015
The first of the regional events for the south took place in Taunton on 4 March. Over 100 delegates from local health and social care organisations came together with patient, public and voluntary sector representatives to hear about the expectations, opportunities and challenges of delivering seven day services and to review and further develop plans for their local communities.
Interactions between the delegates in their local health and social care communities, supported by the NHS Improving Quality team, made this a vibrant event with everyone contributing to the table discussions during the day.
Key themes emerging during the day included:
• The need for system resilience group members to fully understand the skills and “offer” that each of them can bring to the table to improve health and social care seven days a week. This was highlighted in discussions around clinical standard 9, which many groups focussed on as their top priority.
• The need to have an effective system of information sharing between all parts of the health and social care system.
• The huge role that patients and public groups have to play in planning services.

At Monash University we have adopted an ePortfolio technology into our curriculum in an effort to better prepare Radiography students for job selection and the increasing demands of professional practice. One key goal for the development of the ePortfolio was to avoid a structure that was too rigid as this this can lead to reductionist approaches to learning (Grennan, Crowley, Quidwai, Barrett, & Kooblall, 2016). Instead we wanted students to see themselves as curators of this repository with an intellectual pursuit and an inspiration to be creative. Students sometimes don’t appreciate the value of an ePortfolio. In May 2017 year a showcase seminar called “Why should I be registered” was held.
In this presentation, we will briefly outline the support pathway we undertook to support student’s development of ePortfolios along with a selection of examples of student submissions.
Further to this we will outline what the seminar involved, sharing the outcomes of the format and the lessons learned from this. We will promulgate our future aspirations for ePortfolios in Radiography.Présentation de l'Université de Dschang

Cell Therapy Expansion and Challenges in Autoimmune Disease
There is increasing confidence that cell therapies will soon play a role in the treatment of autoimmune disorders, but the extent of this impact remains to be seen. Early readouts on autologous CAR-Ts in lupus are encouraging, but manufacturing and cost limitations are likely to restrict access to highly refractory patients. Allogeneic CAR-Ts have the potential to broaden access to earlier lines of treatment due to their inherent cost benefits, however they will need to demonstrate comparable or improved efficacy to established modalities.
In addition to infrastructure and capacity constraints, CAR-Ts face a very different risk-benefit dynamic in autoimmune compared to oncology, highlighting the need for tolerable therapies with low adverse event risk. CAR-NK and Treg-based therapies are also being developed in certain autoimmune disorders and may demonstrate favorable safety profiles. Several novel non-cell therapies such as bispecific antibodies, nanobodies, and RNAi drugs, may also offer future alternative competitive solutions with variable value propositions.
Widespread adoption of cell therapies will not only require strong efficacy and safety data, but also adapted pricing and access strategies. At oncology-based price points, CAR-Ts are unlikely to achieve broad market access in autoimmune disorders, with eligible patient populations that are potentially orders of magnitude greater than the number of currently addressable cancer patients. Developers have made strides towards reducing cell therapy COGS while improving manufacturing efficiency, but payors will inevitably restrict access until more sustainable pricing is achieved.
Despite these headwinds, industry leaders and investors remain confident that cell therapies are poised to address significant unmet need in patients suffering from autoimmune disorders. However, the extent of this impact on the treatment landscape remains to be seen, as the industry rapidly approaches an inflection point.
