1. Open the image in
Photoshop
2. Go to image and select
image size
3. When it’s open you’ll be
able see the resolution
(this one is 72)
4. The resolution needs to
be changed to 300
5. The longest side needs
to be changed to 30
inches

3. Book Specifications
These are the specifications blurb gives
you to place in to Indesign to make the
book.
My specifications were for a 7x7 Small
Square book with a Hardcover
Imagewrap
20 pages of premium lustre or matt

4. Putting the book specifications in Indesign
Here I placed all the
specifications in to
Indesign to create my
document.

5. Creating a text box
To create a textbook you need to
click on the rectangle icon and
then draw the box to size you
wanted.

6. Adding Text
To add text you need to click on text icon
and then click on the box you just made.
I used Euclid Flex EDU size 18 for my book
because it was the one that looked most
like something you woukd see childrens
book.

7. Adding an Image
To add an image in to the book you press the
rectangle icon and draw a shape the size of the
image you want. Then go to file and place and
select the image you want.

8. Placing an Image in a shape
To place an image in a shape you click on the
rectangle icon and select whether you want
a rectangle, ellipse or polygon. Then you
draw the shape to the size you want Then go
to file, place and select the image you want
to go in the circle.

9. How to make a triangle
As a triangle is not part of
the 3 original shapes in the
rectangle icon you have to
take more steps to create it.
Firstly click on the rectangle
icon and draw any shape. I
chose a polygon. Then while
the object is selected go to
object, convert shape and
click triangle and it will
become a triangle.
