This document provides instructions for using a MAGH BIOCHAR RETORT to produce biochar from biomass. The process involves placing biomass in the retort, lighting it from the top to begin pyrolysis in updraft mode. More biomass is added and the lid is closed once full while the fire continues. The lid is then sealed with soil so pyrolysis can continue in downdraft mode, with white smoke emerging from the chimney. The entire process is cooled within 30 hours to produce biochar.

Continue to add more biomass, close the lid once it is up to the brim, while fire is still on. Seal the lid with soil, now the retort functions in downdraft mode and white smoke emerges from the chimney. Everything gets cooled within 30 hours and biochar is formed. CHANNEL
