This document analyzes four magazine ads and summarizes each one in three parts: (1) the basic human need it appeals to, (2) the marketing technique it uses, and (3) how it is framed to catch viewers' attention. The four ads are for Honda, Diet Pepsi, UPS, and the Navy. The Honda ad appeals to love and relies on values association by implying reliability. The Diet Pepsi ad appeals to fun/freedom and values association by portraying freedom to drink soda. The UPS ad appeals to power and values association by implying efficiency. The Navy ad appeals to power/fun and uses branding to portray the job as exciting.
