This document provides an overview of a lesson on basic computer architecture. It lists the following objectives: for students to understand computer architecture components and their functions, be able to name components and give their functions, and have some students explain the purpose of each component in detail. It then provides a 10 minute guide to the presentation and notes on collaboration. The rest of the document describes the main parts of computer architecture and relates them to parts of the human body for easier understanding. It lists the processor, motherboard, hard drive, RAM, input, and output as main parts and their purposes. Finally, it directs students to an online activity to test their knowledge.

kitchen:
Recipes are the instructions (input),
Preparation and cooking are the process
Finished meal is the output.

We can relate the parts to the human body to

This where current processes are
stored. The computer does not
save these, so they are only
RAM (Random Access Memory)
