Dilbert cartoons accurately portray how recreational internet use has become common in workplaces. The cartoon shows an office worker wasting time online instead of working. While internet can be distracting, it also enables new forms of communication and information sharing in the workplace. Managers should find a balance that allows some personal internet use but prevents it from becoming an unproductive habit.
