Latinas y Niños Program Director
Agency: Casa Esperanza, Inc. is an addictions and mental health treatment center located in Roxbury, MA. Our mission is to help men, women and children overcome homelessness and health disparities, recover from addiction, mental illness, and chronic disease, gain the skills they need to be self-sufficient, contributing members of society, and to repair and strengthen families torn apart by trauma and abuse. Casa Esperanza has an operating budget of $3.2 million. The Latinas y Niños Center serves bilingual/bicultural women (Spanish/English) and women who feel most comfortable in a bicultural environment including, pregnant and post-partum women, women with children up to the age of 10, and single women. The program offers women an opportunity to learn about their addiction through a phased approach to treatment that is designed to build independence, strengthen resiliency and prevent relapse.

Job Responsibilities:
Client Care
Management of the day-to-day operation of the program including coordinating intake/admission and ensuring group interventions are facilitated.
Implementation of evidence-based services including specialized services for pregnant and post-partum women, women with children and single women
Work closely with clinical team to ensure client-centered individualized treatment and service plans are completed according to DPH regulations
Participate in Multidisciplinary Team meetings to coordinate client care
Oversee ESM data collection and ensure timely reporting to DPH
Perform monthly client file reviews as appropriate and required by DPH/DCF
Implement Quality Improvement Measures and reporting
Respond, as needed, to client grievances and complaints
Ensure that staff adheres to daily program structure and schedules
Staff Training and Professional Development
Provide Supervision to the Senior Treatment Coordinator, 2 Treatment Coordinators, and the House Manager Supervisor.
Ensure staff understanding and compliance with all DPH, DCF, OSHA and other regulations and funder requirements
Foster teamwork and leadership in both staff and persons served by the program
Provide consistent and direct performance feedback, and corrective action as needed for all program staff and interns
Provide guidance on career development to all program staff and interns
Complete required performance evaluations (3 month and annual) with input from the Clinical Supervisor as appropriate
Administrative
Monitor contract utilization, performance measures and programming to meet requirements and achieve contract renewal
2. Management of all required reporting and administrative functions including reports to Casa Esperanza, Inc.’s Executive Team, specifically the Deputy Director and Finance Director, DPH, DCF, licensure applications and other administrative functions as required
Ensure adherence to Casa Esperanza, Inc. treatment philosophy, policies and procedures
Facilitate program staff meetings, including case conferences to coordinate and integrate comprehensive services and ensure client treatment plans are effective and appropriate
Participate in Management, Clinical, Fiscal, Property Management and Continuous Quality Improvement team activities as required
Develop and update policies, procedures and directives in accordance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements and ensure staff training and implementation of such
24 Hour On Call (rotating)

Skills necessary for the position:
Experience providing survivor-centered, trauma-informed care
Experience with substance abuse treatment, homelessness, co-occurring disorders, domestic violence, and people living with HIV/AIDS
Experience delivering strengths-based treatment
Ability to use Motivational Counseling/Motivational Interviewing techniques
Familiarity with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Demonstrated capacity to make sound clinical decisions and manage crises, including assessing mental status effectively and taking appropriate steps to ensure client safety
Demonstrated individual and group intervention skills with women, children and families
Ability to use group dynamics skills to facilitate a healthy relationship between staff and clients to maintain an emotionally safe, recovery oriented, environment for clients
Knowledge of HIPAA, 42 CFR, and other privacy and confidentiality requirements
Knowledge of appropriate community resources
Strong and effective leadership skills
Strong self-reflective capability
Ability to work independently and lead a team
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Computer skills, minimum Microsoft Office
Valid Massachusetts Drivers License
Bilingual Spanish/English required
Ability to meet the physical and training requirements of the position
Education/Training required:
Masters Level degree required in clinical psychology, education-counseling, psychology, social work or other related field or equivalent experience
Independently licensed or willing to become licensed as a counselor/therapist, preferably an LMHC, LICSW, MDPH Clinician 1 or similar license preferred.
All candidates should be willing to become CADAC certified (or a reasonable equivalent).
Minimum 2 years experience working with substance abuse treatment
Minimum of 1 year of management and clinical supervisory experience required
Minimum 1 year experience working in a residential environment, preferably with women and children
CPR certified required
