Mechatronic based energy management and automation system for agro industries
Abstract The main aim of this paper is to develop an automation system with energy management capability for agro-based industries using sensors and ZigBee technology. To design an automation system which will monitor the analog parameters and to send these values to the control system where they can be read and control with the set points. If these values exceed their set points, the system will start the controlling devices and set back the exceeded values back to normal. It combines energy management with energy transfer, during power failure by using external batteries. Here ZigBee used to communicate the data wirelessly. The analog parameters like Soil Moisture, Water Level, Temperature, and current flow are measured by the respective sensors and these values are transmitted by the transmitter node. The receiver section is connected to host computer. The PIC based microcontroller receives these values and compares these values with the fixed values and if they exceed the set points, the PIC controller will send commands to controlling devices which will corrects the exceeded values to normal. Monitoring and control of grain storage using plc
Abstract Grain storage occupies a vital role in the economies of developed and developing countries. Proper monitoring of grain storage is essential to reduce grain loss. The present system involves human effort in most of the activities which reduces work efficiency and increases time consumption. These difficulties can be avoided by our proposed project. In this project, the controlling and monitoring of the grain storage area is fully automated using PLC and SCADA. The main objective of the proposed project is to control and maintain the temperature in storage area which prevents the formation of microorganisms and spoilage of grains, to measure the weight using a load cell placed under the conveyor belt and to direct the different sizes of bags to their respective storage places and to detect and control the pests, rats using ultrasound technique. The main parameter that is essential for proper storage of grains is temperature which is taken as input parameter to be controlled using PLC and is measured using a temperature sensor. The SCADA system acquires the required data and monitors the overall process.

In this project we are targeting most common problems prevailing in today’s agro industry having a bit expensive solutions such as fencing for protection from stray cattle, firefighting techniques, smart irrigation integrated with rain water conservation etc.
We’ve employed laser + LDR smart fence, which will automatically detect any kind of the intrusion in the employed are. As soon as it will detect intrusion, it will raise an alarm of very high pitch, which will cause the animals to immediately.
In summer times fire in the fields is a very common scenario. To tackle this problem we are employing a temperature sensor, on the corners of the fields, will continuously monitor the temperature, and as soon as it will cross the threshold, the irrigation system will automatically be turned on to extinguish the fire.
A soil moisture sensor is also installed in this project so as to monitor the temperature and moisture content in the soil, and can monitored through remote locations through IoT. Smart irrigation includes switching of motor from remote locations, automatic switching off of system if left on after the desired work is done.
Rain detection system is also installed to turn off the irrigation system if it starts raining when it is on, in order to save ground water. It is also a part of smart irrigation system in order to conserve ground water.
And to interconnect the microcontroller with all the sensor and the user, internet is used
i.e. IoT technology is used here to achieve the desired targets.
Thus, the IoT agricultural applications are making it possible for ranchers and farmers to collect meaningful data. Large landowners and small farmers must understand the potential of IoT market for agriculture by installing smart technologies to increase competitiveness and sustainability in their productions. With the population growing rapidly, the demand can be successfully met if the ranchers, as well as small farmers, implement agricultural IoT solutions in a prosperous man.

such as irrigating at wrong hours, continued wastage of water, so prevent all this, a new system that uses a
web control to remotely irrigate from a distance has been developed ,therefore main objective of this
project is to design and develop a web based irrigation monitoring and control system since it is observed
that this method is more reliable and efficient compared to the existing methods. The developed system is
able to automatically receive the moisture levels from the field, responds to the different commands sent by
the user to do the irrigation and the user is also able to switch on and off the pump.

- 5. LVX Farmer product is a full automatic agricultural system. In the system, there has been a device which uses a GSM base. LVX provides the safety of technical equipments used in agricultural irrigation, as well as controlling the whole equipment remotely, as well as to check all the possible defects and step in them and here by that provides control of energy quality and technical support.
- 6. Safety Agricultural irrigation power transmission line is under the threat of theft by reason of high cost products and their being un protectable in territory conditions. In order to eliminate this threat, all these supplies have been watched by our LVX farmer sensors 7/24 and taken under protection.
- 7. Automation The proper usage of energy and under ground waters is very important in our system. If the distance between the farmers' houses and their fields is considered, operating, stopping and programming features of the device remotely come into prominence.
- 8. Defect Control In agricultural irrigation, the irrigation that is done on right time is very important. Because of this, it is important to step in right away in a case of defect. In order to check these defects, control and report them, also control sensors are added into system so the defects are fixed on time.
- 9. Energy Quality Because of energy politics practiced in our country, our farmers experience financial burden. In order to lessen this burden, the usage of useless energy should be reduced to least. For this process, our AI is watching the energy parameters 7/24 and can bring suggestions is added into our system.
- 10. Agrarian! Counseling In order to provide our farmers get prolific product, we intend to inform them about proper irrigation techniques, culture, disinfect and harvest. If it is considered necessary, education programs will be planned and the necessary information will be given to the relevant villages.
- 11. Targets “ÇKS” is meaning of “Farmer Registration System” Relatively arid region of Central Anatolia (Konya Closed Basin) notably, especially the basins of Turkey (According to figures from the ministry of agriculture to ÇKS system has registered 3.5 million farmers) farmers achieve all of our goals is contained. ! However, farmers in Europe and Asia with advanced maturity among our plans are to open outwards.
