Presentation by Stuart McIntyre & Rob Wunderlich from Lotusphere 2011
Here's the abstract: 'We will install – from scratch – a complete Lotus Connections infrastructure.
No smoke, no mirrors. You'll go away with all the materials needed to install Lotus Connections 3.0 from scratch, and become Enterprise 2.0 heroes!
The Lotus Connections install process keeps improving with each release, introducing new wizards, reducing prerequisite steps, making the process more robust and Lotus Connections 3.0 goes a step further by using the new Installation Manager technology.
But there are still a lot of moving parts. With over thirty successful Lotus Connections installations completed between us, we'll take attendees through the installation process step-by-step, from installing and patching IBM WebSphere and DB2, connecting to LDAP, through installing Lotus Connections and onto securing the service, all in 90 short minutes!'
JMP208 The Never Ending Integration Story: How to Integrate Your Lotus Notes,...John Head
The Integration Story started in 1994, with the first ways to combine Lotus Notes and Lotus Ami Pro to create custom applications. In 2011, the Integration story is still going strong. This session will start with the basics and ramp up in skill and capabilities. We will show how to integrate Lotus Notes, Lotus Domino, XPages, and LotusLive applications with the tools on your user"s machines: Microsoft Office, Microsoft .NET custom applications, OpenOffice.org, LibreOffice, Lotus Symphony, and more. We will look how the ODF and OOXML standards are changing the integration story and how they will impact you. You will walk out of the session with lots of sample code and extending your own integration story!
Lotus symphony and you - how to stop giving microsoft your money!John Head
For years, you have given Microsoft money for Office Licenses. Would you be interested if we could show you how you could save the money and still produce great documents, spreadsheets and presentations? This session is for you. The first half of the session will be a real-world comparison of Lotus Symphony to Microsoft Office and OpenOffice.org. We will help you decide what type of workers and situations should use which product. We will transition the session to cover the Application Development story. What can you do to integrate Lotus Symphony with your applications? We will cover Composite Applications, Plug-ins, and Automation - UNO, LotusScript, and Java. Come to this session with an open mind! Expect lots of Symphony 3.0 information!
AAI-2075 Evolving an IBM WebSphere Topology to Manage a Changing WorkloaWASdev Community
Customers have a huge investment in WebSphere ND infrastructure including installation, development, deployment, management, support, and 3rd party products. At the same time there are significant new workloads. Mobile is driving very high transaction rates using new device types. New applications often require extremely fast response times. The Cloud economy based on Restful services is rapidly expanding the very nature of applications. Meanwhile, teams need to improve efficiency and drive higher density on their platforms.
In this session we will show you how to evolve your WebSphere ND environment to manage new workloads while preserving your existing investment. See how to add Liberty servers into ND. Explore how Intelligent Management and the ODR extend ND to support Restful services. Examine the benefits of a caching tier to improve response time and availability. See how to add Worklight into your ND environment to provide mobile device and application support. Explore continuous delivery and devOps options for WebSphere ND.

'This Reviewer's Guide provides a brief summary of the applications that are included in IBM Connections 4.5. It is important to note that these applications can be used within an organization as needed—all together or as individual applications. Capitalizing on a flexible and modular architecture, organizations may start with a single application and add other applications when they choose. As in previous releases of IBM Connections, applications can be installed easily and naturally fit into the user experience, so it is easy to expand as needed.'

Avoiding the seven deadly sins of IBM Connections and how to plot the route ...Stuart McIntyre
IBM Connections is the hot topic of the day - every IBM customer should be looking at how the solution can help their business become more open, collaborative and innovative.
However, its easier to fall into small mistakes with planning, deployment and use of the technology, that turn into larger issues as adoption of the solution takes off.
Stuart uses the experience of more than 30 customer deployments over the past 4 years to detail the 7 deadly sins of IBM Connections, explain easy-to-follow strategies to avoid them and help plot the route to true Social salvation! All in 5 minutes!!

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. zkStudyClub - Reef: Fast Succinct Non-Interactive Zero-Knowledge Regex ProofsAlex Pruden
This paper presents Reef, a system for generating publicly verifiable succinct non-interactive zero-knowledge proofs that a committed document matches or does not match a regular expression. We describe applications such as proving the strength of passwords, the provenance of email despite redactions, the validity of oblivious DNS queries, and the existence of mutations in DNA. Reef supports the Perl Compatible Regular Expression syntax, including wildcards, alternation, ranges, capture groups, Kleene star, negations, and lookarounds. Reef introduces a new type of automata, Skipping Alternating Finite Automata (SAFA), that skips irrelevant parts of a document when producing proofs without undermining soundness, and instantiates SAFA with a lookup argument. Our experimental evaluation confirms that Reef can generate proofs for documents with 32M characters; the proofs are small and cheap to verify (under a second).

The Metaverse and AI: how can decision-makers harness the Metaverse for their...Jen Stirrup
The Metaverse is popularized in science fiction, and now it is becoming closer to being a part of our daily lives through the use of social media and shopping companies. How can businesses survive in a world where Artificial Intelligence is becoming the present as well as the future of technology, and how does the Metaverse fit into business strategy when futurist ideas are developing into reality at accelerated rates? How do we do this when our data isn't up to scratch? How can we move towards success with our data so we are set up for the Metaverse when it arrives?
How can you help your company evolve, adapt, and succeed using Artificial Intelligence and the Metaverse to stay ahead of the competition? What are the potential issues, complications, and benefits that these technologies could bring to us and our organizations? In this session, Jen Stirrup will explain how to start thinking about these technologies as an organisation.
