Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer 2004–2008
Led from concept to execution, a new healthcare service for low income underserved uninsured. Worked closely with Executive
Committee composed of directors from the public and private sector to identify the gaps in access to healthcare within the county.
Introduced model initiative in order to spearhead physician volunteer recruitment/retention strategies and establish set of objectives
with time lines.
Engaged in effective communication with Board of Directors in advancing mission, and to earn support for capacity building.
Fostered positive relations with physicians, hospital administrators, clinic directors, and community partners through personal
contact, as well as participation in synergistic committees/community events. Conducted multi-year financial analysis and board
discussions concerning financial stability and sustainability, such as formation of adequate operating reserves. Complied with local,
state, and federal legal requirements. Held responsibility for finding funds through grants to progress initiative, locating funds for
staffing, and overseeing hiring/managing of staff members.
 Utilized entrepreneurial energies to deliver Return on Community Investment (ROCI) of 20 to 1.
 Obtained 60% participation rate by community’s healthcare providers, and received donations of over $5,000,000 in healthcare
