can be healthy or ill. It can be
well nourished or malnourished.
It can be exercised, and it can
wear down with age or abuse.
• In particular, as we age, our skin
becomes thinner and drier.
• While you can’t control your
age, you can control numerous
other factors that accelerate
this aging process…

• Physical activity is not only essential to losing weight and
staying fit, but also to getting flawless skin naturally.
• Today, we have become largely affected by the sedentary
lifestyle. 30 mins/day of anything that will make you will
flush out toxins. Exercise will also help reduce stress in
the body.

• Increases blood circulation of blood
• Releases through sweat the toxic chemicals & waste
products that build up under skin
• All of this leads to clearer, firmer skin by neutralizing the
harmful effects of free radicals & oxidative stress
BEAUTY REST!
• Insufficient sleep and stress are biggies when it comes to
acne and premature aging.
• Your skin rejuvenates and repairs itself mostly while you
are asleep. During good quality sleep, your body
produces human growth hormone (aka the anti-aging
hormone), which rebuilds and rejuvenates skin cells.
• When you're anxious and losing sleep, levels of the stress
hormone cortisol skyrocket, disturbing the hormonal
balance needed for a healthy complexion. Excess cortisol
can also attack collagen!

• Roughly 15% of our skin is made up of water.
• Water cleanses the body and eliminates the toxins and
waste. It hydrates the body and removes excess oils and
dirt.
• Drinking the correct amount of water per day gives the
skin a bright, noticeable change in less than a week.
• The instant you're dehydrated, it will take a toll on your
skin, causing it to look dull, flaky, saggy and loose.
• The smaller the chemical burden your body has to deal
with (pesticides, synthetic chemicals, heavy metals, etc.),
the more energy it has left for cellular renewal!

water, minimal alcohol and sugar will make the skin glow
more than any expensive cleanser or moisturizer. You'll

• Sugar (including highly refined carbs) damage skin through a process
called glycation (collagen distortion that promotes inflammation &
oxidative stress)!

• Dry, itchy skin can lead to more than just minor discomfort…low levels of
ceramides (the lipids that keep water locked in your skin), can cause
inflammation that triggers psoriasis, eczema, even acne.

TONE
• Toners are supposed to be used right after cleansing the skin in order to restore
the skin’s pH balance. Healthy skin toners provide skin repairing substances such
as antioxidants & fatty acids, and provide it with a fresher, smoother and
younger appearance.
• Regular use of a toner also helps in solving the problem of acne. [Braggs
ACV/Water].
• You can tone your skin with a sage, peppermint, & witch hazel combo. Combine
4oz of witch hazel with 1 tsp. each of sage & peppermint leaves and steep for 1-3
days before applying to your skin.

• Use a very mild cleanser & wash with cool to room temperature
water
• Using hot water can cause redness, irritation & dryness

skin and reducing the appearance of large pores. Regular
exfoliation makes it easier for the skin to absorb moisturizers that
are applied topically.
• Making your own scrub is much better than using the exfoliating
products on the market that are often times too harsh for most
skin types. You can also exfoliate naturally using fruit!

  • 3. YOUR SKIN vs. YOUR LIFESTYLE • Like any other organ, your skin can be healthy or ill. It can be well nourished or malnourished. It can be exercised, and it can wear down with age or abuse. • In particular, as we age, our skin becomes thinner and drier. • While you can’t control your age, you can control numerous other factors that accelerate this aging process…
  • 5. • Physical activity is not only essential to losing weight and staying fit, but also to getting flawless skin naturally. • Today, we have become largely affected by the sedentary lifestyle. 30 mins/day of anything that will make you will flush out toxins. Exercise will also help reduce stress in the body. • How does exercise improve the skin? • Increases blood circulation of blood • Releases through sweat the toxic chemicals & waste products that build up under skin • All of this leads to clearer, firmer skin by neutralizing the harmful effects of free radicals & oxidative stress
  • 7. • Insufficient sleep and stress are biggies when it comes to acne and premature aging. • Your skin rejuvenates and repairs itself mostly while you are asleep. During good quality sleep, your body produces human growth hormone (aka the anti-aging hormone), which rebuilds and rejuvenates skin cells. • When you're anxious and losing sleep, levels of the stress hormone cortisol skyrocket, disturbing the hormonal balance needed for a healthy complexion. Excess cortisol can also attack collagen!
  • 9. • Roughly 15% of our skin is made up of water. • Water cleanses the body and eliminates the toxins and waste. It hydrates the body and removes excess oils and dirt. • Drinking the correct amount of water per day gives the skin a bright, noticeable change in less than a week. • The instant you're dehydrated, it will take a toll on your skin, causing it to look dull, flaky, saggy and loose. • The smaller the chemical burden your body has to deal with (pesticides, synthetic chemicals, heavy metals, etc.), the more energy it has left for cellular renewal!
  • 11. • Your body needs the right nutrients to fight off damage, and your skin is no different. • Your skin is what you eat…food choices can cause or combat skin problems. The body repairs and replenishes from the inside out, so nutrition makes a significant contribution to overall skin appearance. • A healthy diet with lots of fresh fruits and veggies, lots of water, minimal alcohol and sugar will make the skin glow more than any expensive cleanser or moisturizer. You'll feel great too! • Sugar (including highly refined carbs) damage skin through a process called glycation (collagen distortion that promotes inflammation & oxidative stress)!

Also, 2 teaspoons of Braggs ACV/day. • Moderate Detox: A natural detoxification program that include 21-30 days on a plant-based diet…this stimulates the body to purge and cleanse itself, and enhances the functions of the liver, kidneys and colon. You can also consume distilled water during this 21-30 day period. Stay away from: sugar, meat, dairy products, alcohol, smoking and excess salt to give the skin a healthy break and prevent water retention. • Extreme Detox: Avoid!

MOISTURIZE • Dry, itchy skin can lead to more than just minor discomfort…low levels of ceramides (the lipids that keep water locked in your skin), can cause inflammation that triggers psoriasis, eczema, even acne. • Many plant-based oils are excellent natural ways of moisturizing the skin! TONE • Toners are supposed to be used right after cleansing the skin in order to restore the skin’s pH balance. Healthy skin toners provide skin repairing substances such as antioxidants & fatty acids, and provide it with a fresher, smoother and younger appearance. • Regular use of a toner also helps in solving the problem of acne. [Braggs ACV/Water]. • You can tone your skin with a sage, peppermint, & witch hazel combo. Combine 4oz of witch hazel with 1 tsp. each of sage & peppermint leaves and steep for 1-3 days before applying to your skin.

CLEANSE • Use a very mild cleanser & wash with cool to room temperature water • Using hot water can cause redness, irritation & dryness • The same goes for the rest of your body EXFOLIATE • The best solution to the question of how to get rid of dead skin cells! • Exfoliation helps in improving skin texture by reducing dullness of skin and reducing the appearance of large pores. Regular exfoliation makes it easier for the skin to absorb moisturizers that are applied topically. • Making your own scrub is much better than using the exfoliating products on the market that are often times too harsh for most skin types. You can also exfoliate naturally using fruit!
  • 25. 1. Treat your neck & chest like an extension of your face! 2. Run a humidifier every night in the winter to moisturize the air in your bedroom! 3. Keep your hands off your face! 4. Use non-toxic cleaning products! 5. Opt for natural skin products! 6. Use a single family of skin-care products! 7. Get rid of makeup before you sleep! 8. Wash your makeup tools!

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR A SKIN PRODUCT TO WORK? • Allow 28 to 35 days, the time it takes the outer skin layer to renew itself, before evaluating. • Initial mild irritation is normal and often a sign your skin is detoxifying. • But stinging, severe redness, or prolonged breakouts indicate you should stop using the product.
