The document discusses different editing techniques used in filmmaking. It describes how a flashback scene uses changes in color and music to indicate a shift to a past event. It also explains how an establishing shot is used to introduce characters and set the scene. Finally, it discusses how consecutive shots can be cut together rapidly to match the rhythm of background music and convey a mood of upbeat fun between characters.
1) The antagonist is walking alone through a forest at night, breathing heavily. A zoom out shows his solitary movement.
2) A close-up of the protagonist's eyes darting back and forth nervously in a dimly lit room.
3) A medium shot shows a leaf blowing across the screen as the antagonist walks in the background through the forest wearing a long coat and hat. Breathing can again be heard.
The document provides a template for planning shots, audio, camera movements, angles, and transitions for a documentary. It includes 9 scenes with descriptions of the action, location, audio sources, camera shots, camera movements, angles, and transition effects for each scene. The documentary appears to focus on a topic involving victims and includes interviews, facts and figures, and introductions and conclusions.
Filming schedules are important to organize plans and ensure work is completed at the highest level by prearranging time. The document discusses finishing filming raw footage by certain dates and then using remaining time to re-evaluate clips and ensure they are the best quality possible, as well as looking over a blog and completing other blog-related work. A key breaks down the scheduled activities by color for filming, other college work, other media work, and free time.
The document provides details on 7 filming sessions for a music video. Session 1 will take place on November 7th in a field outside of Burford to film scenes of the main character wandering alone. Session 2 on November 13th will film indoor scenes at a family friend's house. Session 3 that same evening will film packing scenes at the filmmaker's own house. Session 4 on November 18th will film a performance scene in a college dark room. Session 5 refilms the performance scene. Session 6 on November 21st films an ex-boyfriend receiving a text. Session 7 that evening films nighttime wandering scenes in Burford. Each session outlines the location, scenes, organization, and potential risks.
The document discusses various topics related to production planning and control, including demand forecasting, aggregate production planning, scheduling, workforce planning, materials requirement planning, capacity planning, production control using just-in-time, and shop-floor control. Shannon Horton created psychogeographical projects mapping the moods, atmospheres, and memories associated with Melton Mowbray. They recorded these elements in a written poem and edited film, using editing tools to affirm the senses created by certain locations. They used a "Choosing Star" random algorithm and covered parallel moods through two videos - one associating positive memories with Melton and one negative memories, resulting in one macabre video upholding a dislike of the place and one showing more positive aspects. Quotes from interviews helped shape the pieces, discussing both cursed and happy memories of the changing town.
The document discusses four potential locations for a media studies project: 1) a bathroom, 2) a dining area, 3) a performance area for dancing, and 4) a canteen. The performance area is described as important for showing the dancing of the main character's love interest and will include props like ribbons and streamers. The canteen is where good moments between the main character and their partner will happen, though a sense of coldness is described that could foreshadow the video's ending.

Excess information on Research and PlanningShannon Horton
The document summarizes the findings from audience research on music video preferences. It was found that the target audience accesses music mainly through video sharing websites rather than iTunes, making music videos more important. The audience also generally likes seeing the band featured in videos and finds original storylines appealing. Additionally, people still find music videos engaging despite some initial worries that interest had declined. Location shots for an upcoming video were scouted in the village where the researcher grew up for sentimental value and natural realism. Questions were also constructed about investigating a day in the life of a pop rock artist to add substance and represent typical audience representations.
This song is sung from the perspective of a miscreant bitch named Acasha who sees herself as just a stupid girl with delusional dreams. The lyrics consist of repeating her name "Acasha" and saying she spent her inspirations, suggesting she has nothing left to inspire or motivate her.
The document analyzes the album artwork and typography of Avenged Sevenfold's album "Nightmare". Key points analyzed include the broken font used for the band name to create familiarity and domination, the use of red for the album title "Nightmare" to reference blood and horror, and the central image of a demonic figure surrounded by smoke and stars in a graveyard to imply death, remembrance, and nightmares. The analysis concludes with lessons for designing rock album artwork.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

In an education system, it is understood that assessment is only for the students, but on the other hand, the Assessment of teachers is also an important aspect of the education system that ensures teachers are providing high-quality instruction to students. The assessment process can be used to provide feedback and support for professional development, to inform decisions about teacher retention or promotion, or to evaluate teacher effectiveness for accountability purposes.
