This document describes a study investigating the optimal processing parameters for injection molding two microfluidic chip models through simulations and experimental data. Model 1 is made of COC and Model 2 is made of ABS and PP. The study examines the influence of processing parameters like mold temperature, melt temperature, injection speed, packing pressure and time on the flatness error of the molded parts. Autodesk Moldflow Insight is used to simulate the injection molding process and calculate temperature distribution, shrinkage, warpage and pressure. GOM Inspect measures the flatness error from the simulated warpage. Minitab performs statistical analysis to compare the simulation and experimental results and determine the influence of different materials and parameters on flatness error.
