The success of a localization project depends on the precision with which different phases and
steps in the process are accomplished. The following goals should be kept in mind in order that
the final deliverables should flawlessly target the intended culture:
• Output should be in line with the cultural conventions and the language rules of the target
locale.
• Output should not alter the intended meaning and functionality of the original product or
service.
• Localized material should maintain consistency with the original source in terms of
formatting, display, and truncations.

Understanding the Localization Process
The process of localization should be adopted by companies that have in-
country bi-lingual linguists who completely understand the language and
cultural biases of the intended audience. At InterGlobe, we employ a
specialized team of translators or linguistic experts who follow a five-step
consistent approach to provide localized end product to the customer.

Once the translatable content is identified, the team begins to translate source files
in accordance with the guidelines defined in the style sheet.
Once this task is completed, the translated content is reviewed by multiple
reviewers working on the same assignment.
Reviews intend to incorporate linguistic accuracy and completeness in the final
document.
