Lizzie Borden was arrested for the brutal murders of her father Andrew and stepmother Abby in 1892. The key evidence presented against her was the condition of the victims' skulls and witness testimony. However, Lizzie's defense provided their own witnesses and the jury found her not guilty. After the trial, Lizzie lived out the rest of her life in the family home with her sister until her death in 1927.
