In July 2011, Ryerson University and York University signed the Inter-University Joint Teaching and Learning Initiative Memorandum of Understanding (“Ryerson-York Initiative”), a historic landmark agreement, establishing a foundation for interinstitutional collaboration in teaching and learning. The Ryerson-York Initiative builds upon both universities’ shared commitment to teaching excellence, positive student experience, institutional collaboration and access to post-secondary education. In particular the agreement aims to promote student mobility and enhance student experience by:
- Facilitating improved access by students of each institution to existing courses/programs offered at the other institution;
- Allowing students at each institution to customize their learning experience through increased choice and accessibility.
Governor Brown's Performance Targets for UC & CSUCalCompetes
Governor Brown’s Department of Finance yesterday presented the first draft of performance targets for the state’s public four-year universities, tied to budget increases. The seven measures are described on these slides, with data (when available) showing the historical trends and the Governor’s expectations.
The Official Welcome talk from the UCL International Student Orientation Programme (ISOP) in January 2017, for affiliate students. Contains information on module registration and settling in to UCL.
Governor Brown’s Department of Finance yesterday presented the first draft of performance targets for the state’s public four-year universities, tied to budget increases. The seven measures are described on these slides, with data (when available) showing the historical trends and the Governor’s expectations.
A presentation from the English Upland Peatland Network held on 13 and 14 November 2012. Describes the work we have been doing on Exmoor to develop a PES (payments for ecosystem services) scheme with local farmers to rewet peat for water storage and carbon.

Looks at the potential wide range of benefits which may arise from the use of the ecosystems service approach in sharing benefits from rural land management. This is built around a case study of Exmoor's potential for water management and carbon storage in the south west of England. Policy and practical lessons are taken from this case study for consideration in the broader context of land and its role in the alleviation of poverty.
