What is a Literary Device?A literary device is an identifiable rule of thumb, convention or structure that is employed in literature and storytelling.
AlliterationAlliteration is the repetition of initial sounds in neighboring words.Examples:	- lady lounges lazily	-The wild and woolly walrus waits and     wonders when we'll walk by.

OnomatopoeiaAn onomatopoeia is naming a thing or an action by imitating the sound associated with it.Examples:	-buzz, hiss, roar,     woof, bang, quack.
Metaphor A metaphor is the comparison of two things by using one kind of object or using in place of another to suggest the likeness between them .Examples:	-Her hair was silk.	-My life is a dream.
Cliché A Cliché is a word or phrase that has become overly familiar or commonplace.  Examples: 	-No pain, no gain.	-seemed to take forever	-frightened to death
