PROFILE
Extensive experience in architectural construction, project management and coordination. Strong
technical background including:
Knowledge and applications of Codes and Standards, and Ministry standards and procedures
AutoCAD 2014.
Knowledge of heating, ventilating, air-conditioning systems for residential and small commercial
through HVAC courses.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE
Project Manager LHSC
Worked with various hospital departments to resolve work requests: scoping, seeking solutions
via the web for availability of products, acquiring quotes, facilitating completion of work,
arranging for contractors, e-requisitions, AutoCAD drawings for contractors to bid,
recommendation for payment of invoices.
Liaised between hospital staff, departments, Architects, Engineers and contractors during
construction or renovations to ensure timely work progress, shutdowns, and use of space.
Coordinated trades (electrical, mechanical) for service shutdowns for contractors to be able to
perform work, without hindering work of hospital departments.
Utilized Archibus Facility Management software to track and update project status of
approximately 30 projects at any one time, as well as searching on previous similar projects for
costing and details.
Conducted rough estimating for projects, validating estimates from contractors. Projects ranged
in price from $50.00 to $150 000.00.
Drafter LHSC & ORC
Created wayfinding and signage within two hospitals using Filemaker 11 software with
approximately 18 000 signage entries for staff and departments’ relocations, new staff
additions or changes. Completed directional updating with international symbols, and colour
code of elevator directories.
Used Adobe Illustrator CS6 to update approximately 30 maps throughout the hospitals
indicating where clinics and departments were located, and assisted with updating tear off
handout maps.
Worked as part of a team to produce and review drawings, office layouts (600 plus layouts) for
individual and department moves along with coordination during actual moves. Conducted
inventory of existing and fit requirements into new smaller space.
Completed furniture orders, verification, and inspection of installation. Over the course of a
year structured 150 offices as new physicians were hired.
2. Chaired meetings to coordinate moves, and installations for hospital staff.
Designed work for home dialysis installations, along with site evaluations.
Worked on drawings for subcontractor to cable company. Drawings consisted mainly of road areas with cable
locations and municipal services shown for the technicians to install.
Completed design and working drawings for new construction, renovation and retrofit projects. Also worked on
operation and maintenance plans, for residential, industrial, commercial, institutional, and agricultural
buildings.
Managed Excel spreadsheets to track fleet gas usage, maintenance schedule and locations/ material usage,
phases and hours worked for approximately twenty technicians in several cities.
Liaised with department customers, furniture manufacturers; contacted manufacturers for product information,
and municipalities and service providers for work site information.
Worked and communicated with in-house and private design consultants. Coordinated work, read and
interpreted information from various data sources; researched to determine and create project drawings.
Proofread specifications, drawings and assisted with tender openings.
Coordinated work on projects ranging in size from several $K to several $M.
Maintained electronic and manual file and record management of drawings, specifications, and reports.
Organized, catalogued and maintained technical library facilities and product research.
Supervised co-op students, contract staff and an international student, providing work between projects,
answering questions or directing to correct answers, checking drawings.
Assessed buildings for Barrier free accommodation requirements.
Building Manager ORC
Acted as first point of contact between client, contractors and Ministry.
Estimated, proofread, reviewed construction, operation and maintenance contracts. Worked individually and as
part of a team to ensure proper design and execution of projects.
Conducted, arranged inspection, repair, operation and maintenance on cost-effective basis. Assessed yearly
budget determination, budget management and project priorities.
Supported day to day operation of buildings including code assessments and evaluations.
Hired contractors for one time basis projects such as cleaning of lights.
Construction Superintendent ORC
Acted as Construction Supervisor of operation and maintenance, construction, renovation work projects mainly
in architectural field. Hired consultants, contractors and evaluated contractors on project completion. Inspected
sites to determine and resolve problems, chaired meetings, prepared site observation reports and
correspondence to managers, clients.
Developed scope of work and estimates for projects. Received estimates from other disciplines, processed
change notices, orders, negotiated, approved monthly payments, invoices and final paperwork for all projects.
Reviewed and processed shop drawings.
Worked with Design Consultants on large projects and individually on architectural projects.
Specification Writer ORC
Prepared and coordinated specifications, drawings, and contract documents.
Supervised students in preparation of drawings for tender. Assisted with tender process.
Responsible for operation and maintenance, construction and interior, exterior alteration projects ranging from
under $50 000 to $500 000.
Provided product research, review of shop drawings and knowledge of construction methods.

Girl Guides of Canada
Girl Guide Leader since 1991 and recipient of various awards in recognition of service and abilities. Positions held
include: Pathfinder Leader, Division Commissioner, District Commissioner, Camp Program Representative-Canada Cord
Committee. Assisted with two international camps as relief staff in London, and Calgary. As a Guider, I empower girls to
acquire skills in leadership and develop self esteem, life skills and hobbies by providing a variety of hands on program
opportunities, guest speakers, travel and camp.
Chaperone for Guiding group to Scotland with responsibility for six Pathfinders from local area, and Malaysia with
responsibility for eight Ranger age girls from across Canada. Patrol Leader at Western Hemisphere Conference 2007
with over 100 Ontario girls attending and representatives from the American Regions. Presented session on Habitat for
Humanity as part of the program for the girls.
