Located on the Corniche near the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi,
And designed by the Australian architectural firm DBI Design, and supervised by AECOM.
The prestigious ETIHAD Towers development project is a 460,000m2 mixed use development
that includes five towers ranging from 55 to 77 floors, featuring an array of amenities, including
an international five-star hotel, a boutique shopping mall, premium office tower, and quality
residential apartments.
All hotel rooms, apartments and office floors will have stunning sea views, overlooking the Abu
Dhabi coastline.
Implementing the structural works of podium:
 Carrying out the non-typical floors (basements and podiums) using several types of forms
(PERI ,SGB, Quick-form, traditional)
 Fixing the concrete placing boom and carrying out typical floors using PERI formwork for the
columns and shear walls, and PERI table-form for the slabs.
 Overseeing the other Structural works activities like the jumping of the jumping crane and
the placing boom and the self erection crane, shifting tables and shutters etc.
Implementing the finishing works of podium:-
 Overseeing the works of the block, plaster, waterproof, ceramic setting out and completion,
marble dry lay for wet and dry fix, false ceiling board and tile, painting ...etc.
 Supporting and supervising the MEP works (first and second and final fix), and plants rooms’
works (floating foundations, epoxy, fire resistance sealant and rock wool works,
accessibilities ...etc)
 Overseeing the lifts works, and aluminum and glass cladding works, the roof top.

AS A SECTION ENGINEER
1. Review requirements of the specification and relevant standards and ensure
understandings and compliance of work done with the specified requirements of the
specification and drawings.
2. Carry out the specified inspection / test in accordance with relevant Inspection / Test Plans,
and ensure that Quality Records are maintained and signed – off by the Manager, including
the works of the Subcontractors.
3. Site supervision to ensure Work carried out on site is in accordance with:
a. Drawing and specification
b. Construction program
c. Method Statements
d. And resolve any technical related issues as instructed and directed by Project
manager.
4. Overall, supervision and coordination of site General Foreman and Site Engineers areas of
responsibilities and allocation of work areas. Follow-up to ensure execution of work is
carried out in accordance with approved method statements.

5. Completing all necessary QA documentation related to work and co-ordinate with Project
QA Manager / Engineer for daily site inspections
6. Coordination of different Subcontractors work and perform regular inspection of work done
to ensure compliance with specified requirements, compliance with schedule, ensure
sufficient and competent resources are available. Report any trends for delays to
Construction Manager.
7. Follow – up and monitor design changes as instructed by Construction Manager.
8. Ensure Confirmation of Verbal Instruction is initiated on instructions given by resident
engineer on site, and ensure a copy is forwarded to Engineering and Cost Controller.
9. Supervision and implementation of Safety precautions and take necessary actions to
prevent accidents.
10. Make necessary arrangements to ensure that sufficient Human resources, correct materials
and equipment / tools are available to ensure continuity of work and avoid double handling
of materials on site. Take all necessary measures required to avoid materials wastage and
damage to materials on site.
11. Maintain at all time site dairy, recording daily site activities and any circumstances that have
adverse effect on the Project.
12. Coordinates all resources under his control and advice the Construction Manager to ensure
adequacy and availability to maintain the construction schedule.
AS A SITE ENGINEER
1. Review drawings for correctness and clarity of information and take necessary action to
ensure sufficient information is available, Monitor and ensure that only current / latest
revisions of Issued for Construction drawings are being used, and withdraw all
superseded drawings from site.
2. Supervision of work activities on site and reporting any trends for delays to the
Construction Manager / Project engineer
3. Maintain and record daily site events.
