Yohsuke Furuta LINE / DP2 Team LINEは、特別なビーコンデバイスを使ったプラットフォーム「LINE Beacon」をサービス展開しています。LINE Beaconを使うと、ビーコンデバイスにスマートフォンを近づけるだけで、その情報をBotが受け取ることが可能となり、タイムリーなメッセージ配信が実現できます。 LINE Beaconでは、OSが提供しているBluetoothのフレームワークを活用しています。ビーコンデバイスの情報をOSに登録し、OSがビーコンデバイスを発見したらコールバックが実行されるよう、LINEアプリはプログラムされているのですが、この仕組みには様々な制限があり、期待したタイミングでコールバックを受け取れないケースがありました。このセッションでは、そのような問題をいくつか取りあげ、それらにLINEがどのように対処をしたのか紹介していきます。
